Ancestral Cocina Tradicional

1347 Calle José López Alavez, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68040, Mexico
, +52 951 688 7072

One of our favorite restaurants in Oaxaca. Beautiful outdoor garden setting - particularly beautiful in the late afternoon/evening. The Aguachile de Tasajo (thinly sliced beef in a citrus-y liquid like ceviche) is a must!

Zócalo Oaxaca

Portal del Palacio, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

One of the main 'town squares' in Oaxaca where you'll find street vendors, live music, and dancing - great to visit at night.

Adamá

101 Aldama, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68040, Mexico
, +52 951 429 8646

Incredible Mediterranean food with a very cute atmosphere.

Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán

s/n Calle Macedonio Alcalá, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico
, +52 951 516 3720

The focal point of the city. Beautiful church and plaza on the main pedestrian only street in Oaxaca. There a great restaurants all around with rooftops overlooking the plaza. Make a reservation and visit the Jardín Etnobotánico de Oaxaca which is attached to the chruch.

CENTRO CULTURAL SAN PABLO

907 Miguel Hidalgo, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

This is an architecturally beautiful building with exhibits exploring the rich culture of Oaxaca and MX. We recommend going to the textile Museum right after! (They are very close)

Museo de Arte Prehispánico de México

503 Avenida José María Morelos, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

Prehispanic art museum, highly recommended!

Mercado 20 de Noviembre

512 20 de Noviembre, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

Here’s a great cultural experience! This is a market where you can purchase groceries, beverages, and souvenirs. You can also eat from one of the many food vendors inside. If you want to experience Oaxaca like a local, this is the place!

Selva Oaxaca Cocktail Bar

#403 Calle Macedonio Alcalá, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico
, +52 951 579 4255

This is one of our top places to get cocktails! Selva has incredible drinks and a large beverage menu so there is something for everyone. It’s a beautiful and sexy atmosphere, on the second floor overlooking Calle Macedonia Alcalá.

El Llano

RUTA INDEPENDENCIA, Centro, 68000 Oaxaca, Mexico, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. 68000, Mexico

Nice city park.
