ATTIRE Friday Welcome Dinner - Relaxed Outdoor Party Attire We want everyone to feel comfortable on Friday, especially since this will be a travel day for many. Wear something festive and vibrant, not too dressy. Collared shirts, jean/pants/slacks, any length dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, etc. Saturday Ceremony & Reception - Garden Party Formal The ceremony will be on a grass lawn, and under partial sun. Dress for warm weather in the afternoon and slightly cooler (mid 60s) weather in the evening. Collared shirts, slacks, lots of linen and - if you want - floral / garden inspired prints. We have put together a mood board below for attire in case you want extra inspiration. Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would greatly appreciate having all RSVPs by January 6th, 2023.

Question

What is the best way to get around the city?

Answer

Everything in Oaxaca Centro is walking distance. We recommend getting from the airport to the city either taxi/shuttle, rather than renting a car. It is easy to walk from the hotels to the venues and other major attractions. There are also lots of taxis.

Question

What is the weather in Oaxaca in February?

Answer

During the day, temperatures will be around 75 - 85 degrees. At night, temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s. February is one of the driest months, so while there is always a chance of rain in Oaxaca, it is unlikely that we will see rain in February. Please note, the venues for Friday night and Saturday night are outdoors.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is only very minimal street parking at the venues. We highly recommend walking or taking a taxi to get around town. Everything in Oaxaca Centro is generally within walking distance (you could walk across the whole central area in about 30-40 minutes, but most things are roughly 5-10 minutes by foot). Please note, the sidewalks are narrow and they are old colonial cobblestones, so please watch your step.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! If you have a specific food allergy, you can note it during the digital RSVP process and we will do our best to accommodate. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please refer to the "Schedule" page for all details. However, it is important to note that we will be having a traditional "Calenda," to get from the ceremony venue to the reception venue on Saturday. A Calenda is a celebratory parade through the city, which lasts between 30-45 minutes. The Calenda will end at the reception venue, Proyecto Murguía. We encourage everyone who is able to walk in the Calenda parade with us. For recommendations beyond the wedding program, refer to the "Things to do and Eat in Oaxaca" page on the website.
