We can't wait to see everyone! There is a shuttle to bring people to the venue on Saturday, find more info on the travel and details tabs. We've had a warm October but it sadly looks like it will get cold this weekend, please check the weather and bring a warm layer!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are asking that guests let us know if they can attend no later than August 15th, 2024. If you already know you will be unable to attend, we will miss you! It is helpful for us to have that information in the planning process, so please let us know as soon as you can what your plans are.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Montana Fancy! Throw on your nice pants or fall dress and maybe a bolo tie. The vibe isn't jeans or tuxedos, but anything in between is great. We wouldn't recommend thin heels on the grass, consider boots or other footwear that you would be comfortable wearing in inclement weather. October in Montana can be mild and pleasant or we may experience cold temperatures, rain, or snow. Please plan with that in mind. While our venue has a heated barn that we will utilize for the reception, we hope to have the ceremony outdoors and want everyone to be cozy. Bringing coats or layers recommended. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and fun for a celebration!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will have a wood fired pizza cart catering dinner that will provide appetizers, salads, and a steady rotation of pizzas throughout a casual dinner service. They can make gluten free, dairy free, and vegan pizzas by request, so please let us know if anyone in your party has allergies when you RSVP. No need to specify meal preferences ahead of time, we will ensure there are a good mix of meat, veggie, and simple pizzas to hopefully satisfy all tastes. Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome, just make sure to include them in the RSVP when you submit it to us. This venue has plenty of fun activities to occupy kids including games, hiking and biking trails, and farm animals to visit. Please note: there will be drinking and general adult debauchery at this wedding. If you feel more comfortable leaving kids at home for that, we totally understand.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are so excited to see you! We have thoughtfully considered everyone that is invited and respectfully ask that only those named when you RSVP attend. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please feel free to reach out.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Your presence in our lives and at our celebration is the best gift, please do not feel required to offer anything beyond that. We live in a very small home and already have everything we need, so if you are considering bringing a gift we kindly ask that you make a donation to one of our favorite organizations or contribute to the honeyfund link provided instead.

Question

Dogs?!

Answer

We love dogs, but Hardscrabble Ranch does not allow guests to bring dogs because of the animals (including yaks, chickens, dogs, and piglets) that live on the farm. We've arranged with the venue for Honey and Oats to make a brief appearance, but all other dogs unfortunately have to sit this one out.

Question

Can I camp at the venue after the wedding?

Answer

Hardscrabble does not allow tent or vehicle camping onsite. We will be arranging a shuttle to transport guests to and from a specified location in Bozeman, so a safe ride back to town will be provided. Most campgrounds in the area will be closed in October, but you are welcome to look for dispersed camping options near Bozeman or Brackett Creek if you intend to camp. (Battle Ridge Campground is 11 minutes from the venue and may be open this time of year, weather depending).

Question

Will there be cell service at the venue?

Answer

Nope! Hardscrabble does have wifi, so once people are there they can use wifi to communicate, but plan to drive through areas with no service to reach the ranch.
