Ashley and Caitlin's Story

08/30/2015 - Forever

Ashley and Caitlin’s story begins on a Sunday in Boston. After hanging out at an outdoor venue, they walked over to Harpoon Brewery (10 minutes before closing... to down a flight), then ate at The Barking Crab. Ashley may or may not have ruined Caitlin's mussels after seasoning with her Old Bay conveniently stocked in her bag. That day was the first of many that Ashley and Caitlin would enjoy laughing together, drinking together, adventuring together, and adding the perfect amount of seasoning to each other's lives. Ashley and Caitlin's adventures continued while trying to juggle work, grad school, and as many Sunday Fundays as possible. Caitlin taught Ashley a few kitchen skills (turns out you don't use a peeler to peel an onion?!) and forced her to take time out to just watch movies and relax. Ashley taught Caitlin to live everyday to the fullest (including jumping out of a train in Peru to climb Machu Picchu over rickety bridges!). After a few years exploring Boston together, biking as much as possible, and attempting to blend their two tastes in artwork in 1 apartment, they started a new adventure moving to San Francisco in 2017. In NorCal, they enjoyed hiking, camping, "booze cruising" on the SF/Oakland Ferry, and wine tasting with hippies. Living their California dream, Ashley and Caitlin maintained their love of biking. On October 12, 2019, Caitlin planned their most grueling ride to the Berkeley Botanical Gardens. Turns out, it was not the best desination during off-season. Even as exhausted as they were, Ashley made sure they biked 2 more miles to the Rose Garden to find a beautiful resting spot. It wasn't the Twizzlers Caitlin was expecting after a long ride, but the ring out of Ashley’s fanny pack was a perfect surprise instead. Ashley proposed to adventure together forever with Caitlin and Caitlin said "yes"! Shortly after, they moved to Chicago to begin their new life adventures together and explore their new city closer to family.

COVID-19 Information and Updates

We want to make sure we create an environment where everyone feels safe, we know a lot of guests will be traveling from outside the Chicago area. We will require a negative COVID test within 24-48 hours prior to the wedding and will have more details on where to get one in the Chicago area. We will also be vigilant to stay within the regulations set by the City, County, and State. As of January 3, 2022, the City of Chicago has provided the following requirements: To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the City of Chicago has issued Public Health Order 2021-2, which requires certain establishments to verify that patrons are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Public Health Order will remain in effect until the City of Chicago is through this Omicron-driven surge and the risk of overwhelming hospital capacity has passed. Effective Monday, January 3, 2022, the Chicago Vaccine Requirements will apply to the following public indoor places: Indoor Dining: Establishments where food or beverages are consumed, including, but not limited to, restaurants, bars, fast food establishments, coffee shops, tasting rooms, cafeterias, food courts, dining areas of grocery stores, breweries, wineries, distilleries, banquet halls, and hotel ballrooms; and Indoor Fitness: Gyms and fitness venues, including, but not limited to, gyms, recreation facilities, fitness centers, yoga, Pilates, cycling, barre, and dance studios, hotel gyms, boxing and kickboxing gyms, fitness boot camps, and other facilities used for conducting indoor group fitness classes; and Indoor entertainment and recreation venues where food or beverages are served: Including, but not limited to, movie theaters, music and concert venues, live performance venues, adult entertainment venues, commercial event and party venues, sports arenas, performing arts theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, card rooms, family entertainment centers, play areas, pool and billiard halls, and other recreational game centers.
