We hope you have a chance to explore some of our favorite places in the area!
The Whelan
1133 Huff Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318, (404) 228-5164
One of our favorite bars in Atlanta, which just so happens to also be the location of our first date. This small corner pub has great local beers, sports playing on the TVs, pool tables, and darts.
Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame
250 Marietta Street NorthWest, Atlanta, GA 30313, (404) 880-4800
The College Football Hall of Fame is one of the coolest locations in Atlanta for football fans. It's part museum, part interactive experience. This is definitely a worthwhile stop while you're in town.
Mac McGee's
111 Sycamore St, Decatur, GA 30030, Decatur, GA 30030, 404-377-8055
Best pint of Guinness in the area, and only a few short miles from the Emory Conference Center Hotel. Don't be surprised to find us here sometime during the weekend!
SweetWater Brewing Company
195 Ottley Drive Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30324, (404) 691-2537
One of Atlanta's oldest and highest quality breweries, SweetWater was just a short drive away from our old apartment. Check out the upstairs area in the main building, and do a brewery tour if you have time!
Ormsby's
1170 Howell Mill Rd NW, Unit 20, Atlanta, GA 30318, 404-968-2033
This place is awesome. Great food and drinks, with darts, billiards, shuffleboard, and bocce ball. A really cool spot in West Midtown that is definitely worth a trip if you're in the area.
Just a short 4 hour trip south lies one of college football's most hallowed grounds. Stop by for a quick visit through the stadium of the Unconquered: The Florida State Seminoles.
The General Muir
1540 Avenue Place, Atlanta, GA 30329, (678) 927-9131
The General is an upscale Jewish deli that is walking distance from the venue. The whole Brown family endorses the Rueben but we are also big fans of the pastrami and egg!
