Blue Back Square
Blue Back Square is a fun area of West Hartford right near the center of town. It's full of places to shop and great restaurants to get a bite to eat! Whether you're looking to kill some time walking around window shopping or want to grab a drink and some food it's got a little bit for everyone!
The Center of Town, West Hartford
The original "Center of Town" continues to be a great place to walk around and do some shopping or to grab a bite to eat. Similar to Blue Back Square, here you'll find some of our favorite restaurants in town.
First and Last Tavern
The First and Last Tavern is within walking distance of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Avon. It's a great place to get food or drinks!
Elizabeth Park
Known for it's beautiful display of roses, Elizabeth Park is a wonderful area to take a walk through the flowers, sit by the pond for a picnic lunch, or to grab a bite at the Pond House Cafe.
Tolcott Mountain Hike
This easy hike is a great way to spend the afternoon. Starting at the base of the mountain it's a fairly easy hike up to the tower at the top with beautiful views overlooking the surrounding towns, including Simsbury and Avon.
The Mark Twain House
Take a tour of the beautiful house of the wonderful American author Mark Twain.
The Noah Webster House
Take a tour and learn a little more about the author of the famous Webster dictionary at the Noah Webster house in West Hartford.

The Wadsworth Atheneum is the oldest continuously operated museum of art in the U.S.!
