We highly recommend taking a stroll through historic downtown, visiting Charleston harbor/battery and making your way up Rainbow Row. Rainbow Row is the name for a series of thirteen colorful historic houses in Charleston, located north of Tradd St. and south of Elliott St. on East Bay Street (79 to 107 East Bay Street).
One of our absolute favorite spots is 167 Raw, a Charleston staple! The menu holds an array of raw bar, lobster rolls, Asian style shrimp po boy, pork tacos, etc. Pro-tip: 167 does not take reservations and depending on the time/date, the wait can be pretty long. We recommend putting your name in and then going and getting a cocktail around the corner at Bistro A Vin. It's worth the wait, we promise.
The Darling Oyster is a top favorite! The inside is aesthetically pleasing, with the raw sea food bar being made visible so guests can watch the staff shuck and prepare delicious dishes. The decor is polished and elegant, giving off a southern charm feel. The food ranges from hot/cold lobster rolls, fried chicken sandwiches, raw seafood, and a mean bloody mary! The Bloody Mary can be garnished with po-boys, shrimp, crab legs, lobster claws, you name it! Great spot for brunch!
One of the best seafood oyster hall's is located at The Ordinary, a 1920s bank now an upscale seafood restaurant with some of the best seafood here.
A relaxed, New Orleans style joint that serves delicious oysters, southern-style seafood, and fried chicken in an old auto body shop.
One of the best rooftop bars in Charleston with delicious light bits, refreshing cocktails, and some of the best views of the city!
