Travel Note

Flights and Airports

Steamboat Springs has a large regional airport called Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) that accepts major airlines (such as United and Southwest). HDN is about a 15 minute drive from the town center and there are various shuttles and rideshare options. Alternatively, the Denver airport is about a 3.5 hour drive and accepts all major airlines. To the extent you fly into the Denver airport, we would recommend renting a four-wheel drive car since you drive through the moutains.

Rental Cars and Shuttles

Steamboat Springs has a very broad network of shuttles and rideshare options. The town itself has a free shuttle that runs to different parts of town and the ski village (which are approximately 15 minutes away from each other). Many of the hotels and private rental neighborhoods also have private shuttles that are on demand. As a result, renting a car is not necessary in Steamboat Springs; however, renting a car offers a bit more flexibility.

This is the hotel recommended by Steamboat as it is located right next to the Steamboat Gondola, which will be our way up to the wedding ceremony and reception. Please note that the hotel is having an event the same weekend so there is limited availability.

Gravity Haus is located in the ski village where the Steamboat Gondola is located. Coming highly recommended and newly renovated, this hotel will surely be a beautiful lodging location for those who are looking for easy access and high-end luxury.
