This is our wedding venue! Everyone gets a free pass to the museum over the weekend. We highly recommend that you use them, it's a great museum and if you enjoy thunderstorms then you need go to the Lightening show. You will not have access to the exhibits during the wedding, so make sure you go ahead of time!
The Boston aquarium is fun spot, especially for families, and complete with penguins, seals, and a shark and ray touch tank. It's in downtown Boston, so a great stop if you are doing a city day.
Take a walk along the Charles! Cambridge side or Boston side, they are both lovely and it's a great way to explore the area.
October is the end of apple picking season, but there are likely still a number of opportunities if you are looking for a great outdoor fall activity! If you want to experience Jess's hometown, Bolton Spring Farm is the place to go, they also have the best apple dumpling and cider donuts. We will update this with more details as we get closer to the date!
If you want to escape the city, have a beautiful hike, and don't mind a drive, this is the adventure for you! The views are amazing and it's not super intense. The parking lot does get busy on the weekends, so just be aware of that timing wise.
We went here on our second date! Best ice cream in the area, and if you happen to extend your stay and are around on a Tuesday, their ice cream tacos are excellent.
We went here on our third date! If fall foliage is out in force, this is a really beautiful spot. Also a great place to soak up some history if you like seeing some of the older families in the area represented, including Dorothea Dix, Winslow Homer, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Isabella Stewart Gardner.
