at last...por fin...

Alejandro and Marilyn met at her house in Belmont, MS. It all happened because an aunt of his told Marilyn's mom that some handsome nephews were in town and her son was introducing them to his friends...side note Alejandro had tasted Marilyn's cooking before ever meeting. For anyone that knows him and how much he eats, it makes sense. (Back then Marilyn and her mom would sell homemade Mexican food and an order had been placed for the Beristain cousins earlier that day.) Later Marilyn's mom came home and asked her if she had met the "handsome" cousins yet. Marilyn texted the aunt's son wanting to meet the "handsome" nephews. When they came knocking at Marilyn's door; it was dislike at first sight. Marilyn can confirm they were handsome, in Marilyn's opinion one more than the other. Though he didn't make a good first impression on her. Alejandro will now say: "I did it on purpose to annoy her", because he thought she was very pretty...boys (insert rolling eyes emoji.) [Alejandro speaking] Though again, if you know me...I am just annoying sometimes. ~ Alejandro y Marilyn se conocieron en su casa en Belmont, MS. Todo sucedió porque una tía de el le dijo a la mamá de Marilyn que algunos sobrinos guapos estaban en el pueblo y su hijo les estaba presentando a sus amigos... nota al margen Alejandro había probado la comida de Marilyn antes de conocerse. Para cualquiera que lo conozca y lo mucho que come, tiene sentido. (En ese entonces, Marilyn y su mamá vendían comida mexicana casera y se había hecho un pedido temprano ese día para los primos Beristain). Mas tarde la mamá de Marilyn llegó a casa y le preguntó si ya conocía a los primos "guapos". Marilyn le envió un mensaje de texto al hijo de la tía queriendo conocer a los sobrinos "guapos". Cuando llamaron a la puerta de Marilyn; fue disgusto a primera vista. Marilyn puede confirmar que eran simpáticos, pero en su opinión uno mucho más que el otro. Aunque él no le causó una buena primera impresión. Alejandro ahora dirá: "Lo hice a propósito para molestarla", porque pensó que era muy bella... hombres (inserte emoji de ojos en blanco). [Alejandro hablando] Aunque si me conocen... saben que solo soy enfadoso a veces.

We started dating in September 2011. Alejandro asked Marilyn to be his girlfriend, but we all know she's never been one to give a yes first. Most of her answers will be no to everything, so why would this be any different. So Alejandro ever the persistent man that he is, and in keeping with his 3 time rule, asked 2 more times and she said yes. It wasn't like Marilyn could keep telling him no. Have you looked at the guy? He's so handsome!!! Her very own McDreamy and McSteamy rolled into one. (insert heart eye emoji here) ~ Empezamos a salir en septiembre de 2011. Alejandro le pidió a Marilyn que fuera su novia, pero todos sabemos que ella nunca ha sido de las que dan un sí a la primera. La mayoría de sus respuestas serán no a todo, entonces, ¿por qué esto sería diferente? Así que Alejandro, como el hombre persistente que es, y de acuerdo con su regla de las 3 veces, preguntó 2 veces más y ella dijo que sí. No era como si Marilyn pudiera seguir diciéndole que no. ¿Has mirado al tipo? ¡¡¡El es muy guapo!!! (inserte emoji de ojo de corazón aquí)

We got married in a very intimate back yard ceremony at Alejandro's parent's home in Shelbyville, TN accompanied by our nuclear families. We initially wanted to go to the courthouse, but Alejandro's mom in her infinite wisdom convinced us to do a little something to commemorate the occasion! God bless her! For those of us that were present, remember it as being a very fun time. Somehow we all ended up being tossed and throwing others in the pool! We only hope this wedding and reception is more special and more fun than the first one! ~ Nos casamos en una ceremonia muy íntima en el patio trasero de la casa de los padres de Alejandro en Shelbyville, TN, acompañados de nuestras familias nucleares. Inicialmente queríamos ir a la corte, pero la mamá de Alejandro en su infinita sabiduría nos convenció de hacer algo para conmemorar la ocasión. ¡Dios la bendiga! Para los que estuvimos presentes, lo recordamos como un momento muy divertido. ¡De alguna manera todos terminamos siendo arrojados y arrojando a otros a la piscina! ¡Solo esperamos que esta boda y recepción sea más especial y divertida que la primera!
