When we met for the first time at a party in 2017 we didn’t think much of it, other than that we could probably talk forever. Fast forward three years, we were both single, and a pandemic was on. E found out B was single and, having no other way to contact her, slid into her DMs via a fire emoji about her new haircut. We started off slow, as friends, book recommendations, cocktails on the porch, walks to the beach talking about everything. A few months into the new friendship, B coaxed E inside for a haircut and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Thousands of games of cribbage later, books read aloud to one another, epic road trips, viajes a México, cabins on beaches, agate hunting, long hikes in the mountains, the best playlists that E makes for B, the best meals that B makes for E, merging friend groups, whole days lost to cuddling. What has transpired in the last three years has been nothing short of miraculous. Getting married is just icing on the cake.
