Frances and Alex reconnected over their love for Baffin Brewing. Whenever Alex came home from Colorado and was there with her family, she often saw Fran there too. It became a regular thing to make sure that when she was back in Michigan visiting, Fran was around too. Once Alex officially moved home, hanging out with Fran became a regular thing - to the point where she has most certainly become family. It was actually Alex and Fran's 2nd annual camping trip where Alex tipsily invited Robbie to come camping during the first date. Fran's friendship/sistership means the absolute world to Alex.

Meredith and Alex have known each other since 2012...maybe 2011? Either way, it's been a long time. They had the same mentor teacher for student teaching at Harper Woods High School. It was through that and their friend Kelly that they realized how similar they truly are. They're both fashionably late for things and have the hardest time making decisions - so Kelly does it for them when the 3 of them are together. In 2015, Meredith and Alex moved out to Colorado and taught at the same high school for 3 years together before Alex moved back to Michigan. Mere and Alex have made so many memories together - whether it be Annie the beagle eating all of their tzatziki sauce while Mere yells "Annie! Noooo!" and they stand there laughing, or spending their Sunday's watching reruns of Greys Anatomy eating Noodles and Company, their friendship is one of a kind.

Kelly and Alex met during student teaching in Harper Woods in 2011. They quickly became friends that would last a lifetime. Kelly is someone who can tell Alex like it is when Alex starts to overthink about absolutely everything - and Alex will not cry (most of the time) when she is blunt with her. She is someone who is a constant in Alex's life - someone who will always be in your corner when you need her to be. She is truly one of the best friends that Alex could ever have. Usually, it is Kelly, Meredith, and Alex all together - the three of them balance each other perfectly - except for the fact that it's usually Kelly who is on time for everything and also making the decisions for them.

Alex has known Tania since the first day of kindergarten when she went up to Tania and said "Will you be my friend?". Since then, they were inseparable. Through elementary, middle, and high school if you saw Tania, you saw Alex and vice versa. They went through swim meets, orchestra concerts, high school plays, and countless other things. No matter what, they know that they will always be there for one another. Not many people can say that they've had a friendship for 30 years... but they can and it is truly a special thing to have in life.

Over the last 3 years, Alex and Hannah have gotten a lot closer and it's beyond exciting! Alex is so blessed to have a sister-in-law like Hannah. She is one of the most caring people you will ever meet. Alex can not wait for their relationship to continue to grow - truly. It's so cool to have another sister!

Everyone always talks about how they have one soulmate in life. But what people fail to talk about is how much of a soulmate a dog can be too. Alex met Lexi in September 2016 in Colorado and somehow knew that at some point she would be in Alex's life for good. She did not know how or when, but it was going to happen. In May of 2018, it happened - Lexi was given to her. Lexi has been there for Alex for a lot of things; a move across the country, every walk ever taken since 2018, love, camping, creating a new family... you name it she's been there - and for that, Alex will be forever grateful.

Jordan and Robbie have been friends for their entire lives it seems - when Alex met her, to say she was intimidated was an understatment. Nick and Jordan been there for all of Robbie's relationships. It was about a year and a half when Jordan told Alex that their relationship was different than what she's seen in the past (in a good way), she could tell Jordan really meant it. It has become very clear to Alex that Jordan will literally go to bat for anyone important in her life... and what better person to help coordinate day of activities to make sure everything goes smoothly?! She has already helped an incredible amount.

Nate and Alex shared a minorly drunk heart to heart at Kait and Nate's first halloween party in 2019. It was the end of the night and Alex was basically telling him that she wanted to find a love like what he and Kait shared and how genuinely happy she is for them. He stood up and hugged her so hard and said “you will”. That moment meant the world to Alex. Now here we are 5 years later - where Nate is turning her "you will" into " I do".
