Where should I not stay?
Please do not stay at the American Inn and Suites in Ionia. We have heard from our venue that they have received terrible reviews and we would like our guests to enjoy where they are staying.

Ionia State Fair
The Ionia State Fair will be running July 11- July 20th. This means that many hotels AirBnb's. VRBO's, etc will be booking quick. Good news for you is that we have hotel blocks readily available. We are asking that you plan to book your place to stay ASAP.

Where is the shuttle traveling?
Our shuttle will be traveling to two of the hotels - The Super 8 in Ionia and the American Heritage Inn in Portland. When you go to RSVP, we kindly ask that you include if you plan on using the shuttle and where you are staying so that we can begin to give our shuttle an estimated head count.

What time will the shuttles be running?
Due to number of people staying at each hotel, there will be 1 shuttle for the American Heritage Inn and 3 shuttles for the Super 8. The shuttle time(s) for each hotel are below: American Heritage Inn 3:10pm Super 8 3:10pm 3:45pm 4:00pm Retun shuttles will start at 9pm and go until midnight.

This is one of the hotels that our shuttle will be going to. The room block and hotel is completely booked. If you are still in need of a room, please look at the American Heritage Inn in Portland for a room.

This is one of the hotels that our shuttle will be going to. There is a 25 room block available. Any unused rooms in the block will be released 1 month (June 12th 2024) before the date of the wedding weekend. If you do not book before then, the bride and groom will not be able to add rooms or get you the discounted rate. The dates for the room blocks are July 12th - July 14th. You are able to change the date to reflect the time you are staying. The wedding rate cannot be used for a date before July 12th or after July 14th There is a mixture of king and double queen rooms. Wedding rate is $109 +tax. In order to receive the discounted rate, you need to call the phone number above and mention the Beels/Carver Wedding. Third party sites will not honor the discounted rate.

The shuttle will not be traveling here. This house is located 1 mile away from our venue. It has 5 rooms sleeping 10 people, 4 queen beds/1 full size, along with 4 bathrooms, a large great room, a kitchen, and outdoor spaces. There is wifi, a large TV in the great room, and access to the fridge, oven, microwave, washer, and dryer. They are still figuring out the breakfast situation, more on that later. Unfortunately, they do not allow animals. Renting out the whole house would be $685 per night. Renting out 1 room or less than 5 rooms, would be $235 per night for a regular room stay. $255 per night for a suite stay (they have 1 room with an attached bathroom) They are working on finishing their updates, but based on photos that were sent to us, it's going to be downright gorgeous! Other Options
If none of the hotel options suite your fancy, Grand Rapids and Lansing are about 45 minutes from our venue! In addition, you are always welcome to book an Airbnb or VRBO in the area for your family or a group of you! Fenwick, Stanton, Crystal, Lake Odessa, Ionia, Portland, Lyons, Muir, Westphalia, Greenville, Belding, and Lowell, are all within a decent driving distance. However, please know that our shuttle will not be taking people directly to their rental, so please book and drink responsibly.
