FAQs

Question

Why do I keep seeing Bard? What happened to your current last names?

Answer

As a couple we have decided change our last name together. The name we chose to title this new chapter of our lives is Bard, to symbolize the love of music we both share. We are so excited to be sharing this moment with you, our family and friends.

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both located at The Empress Estates. 460 Empress Ln, Woodland, WA 98674

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

You bet there is. Wine, beer, liquor and mixers will be available for libations. However, the top shelf hard stuff will require cash. Please do not bring any of your own alcohol to the venue—homemade or store bought—or they could pull the plug on the whole party. We are not kidding. The venue is extremely strict on this policy.

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at The Empress Estates. There is ample free parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Uber/Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Question

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The theme is Met Gala Ball: Fairy Tale (or black tie if that’s your comfort level). The goal is to “upstage the nearlyweds.” Trust us, you won’t. Bring your creativity and your class. Bee and Chris promise to set the bar high so no one will feel over dressed. If you’ve ever wanted to wear a ball gown, now is your chance. If you think you would look good in a shiny hot pink tuxedo, you’re definitely right. A full suit of armor is highly encouraged. Wear leather, wear lace, wear the prom dress that’s been sitting in your closet for a decade. If you’re worried your outfit is not loud enough then add accessories! Elf ear cuffs, glitter on your shoes, a particularly fancy hat. In fairy tales anything goes! Ultimately we want you to wear something you are comfortable wearing that makes you feel as fabulous as we know you to be. Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

As long as weather permits the ceremony will be outdoors, followed by an indoor reception.

Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but September is a beautiful month in Washington. Expect a warm, sunny, afternoon and a chilly evening.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony we are headed 30 yards up hill to the reception hall for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Bee and Chris want to get the drinks flowing and the dancing started as soon as the officiant says "You May Kiss The Bride."

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Oh we are far past it baby.

Question

Answer

If you have not RSVP'd at this time please text the bride at (360) 913-1926

Answer

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer
