A halloween first date including an uncomfortable immersive theater experience and a risky rendezvous with a flaming boar bulgogi burrito sets the scene for a relationship that continues to be creative, adventurous, and artistic; filled with love, laughter, food (and maybe some gastrointestinal distress).
After a Michelin star worthy 7 course meal with sommelier provided wine accompaniments under the romantic twinkle of stars, Chris waited almost an hour after the meal was over for the couple at the adjacent table to leave (they never did). He popped the question like a true Washingtonian, over coffee. After a misty eyed “Yes!” and complimentary champagne, Bee turned around and immediately walked into a gas space heater, earning a second degree burn. She left the restaurant with a diamond ring, a permanent scar, and a new favorite story.
A bond forged by the fire of two weirdos, this wedding promises to be a unique one. Champagne tastes meets a proclivity towards high fantasy. Guests are asked to dress to the nines and add a little (a lot) of flair. Everyone is encourage to try and “outshine the nearly-weds.” Don’t worry, you won’t. Bee and Chris promise to set the bar high so no one will feel over dressed. The theme is Met Gala Ball: Fairy Tale (or black tie if that’s your comfort level). If you’ve ever wanted to wear a ball gown, now is your chance. If you think you would look good in a hot pink tuxedo, you’re definitely right. Wear leather, wear lace, wear the prom dress that’s been sitting in your closet for a decade. A look book for inspiration is provided at: https://pin.it/i8bJJxIUD
