We worked very hard to compile a guest list of our closest friends and family, while maintaining the feel of a small wedding. After doing so, COVID related guidelines that our venue was given in order to re-open have forced us to cut our guest list down even further, by almost 1/3 of the total. For this reason, we would greatly appreciate that you honor your invitation and bring only those listed on the envelope. Thank you so much!
We originally had planned to accommodate and host your wonderful children at our wedding. After many changes, as mentioned above, we have had to make the tough decision to make this an adult-only event. We appreciate your understanding, as we adore your children and this was a very hard decision for us to make.
We will be taking many extra precautions including using an outdoor venue, more spacing between chairs at our ceremony, extra sanitization by catering staff, encouraging mask wearing, more spacing/less seats per table at dinner, etc. We also want all of our guest to know that we want you to attend only if you are absolutely comfortable doing so. If you are at risk, or have any hesitation in traveling or attending, we would prefer to celebrate with you at another time. We also hope that the vaccine will have been accessible and distributed to anyone who is hoping to have received it before attending. Please make a good decision for you, your family, and your situation. We hope to celebrate in the future with those who are not able to attend!
Our wedding will be a dressy casual event. There is a lot of lawn to cross for the ceremony (ladies, you know what that means), but there are concrete pathways that lead between the different areas, and we will be spending most of the reception on hard ground.
April weather in Chico is usually in the low to mid 70s. We are hoping for a warm spring day! There is the potential of rain, but it being a dry year, we are hoping that it will hold off for us that day. Please dress for sunshine, but be prepared for rain.
Yes!! There are many air b&bs around Chico, and they are pretty reasonably priced. If you have questions about the specific neighborhood, house, etc., that you are looking at, please feel free to ask us and we can help guide you to something cozy, safe, and fun to rent.
No, we do not have reserved hotel rooms. We listed hotels that either have good reviews or we have heard good things about, so that guests can stay wherever fits best for them. There are also many Air B&Bs in the area that are available to book.
