Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing shuttle service to and from the wedding venue for our guests. The venue and hotel are a 4 minute drive or 0.5 mile walk but rather steep walk. You are also welcome to drive yourself (parking available) or take a ride share.

Question

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

Children are invited and welcome! Our venue has no restrictions and we look forward to celebrating with everyone. (For those with children under 21, see note about Utah liquor laws).

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony/reception is Semi-Formal. (Dinosaur flair is encouraged). Although what is really important to us is that you feel comfortable and are able to enjoy our wedding. The ceremony will take place on the museum terrace, and the weather and temperature may fluctuate. The reception will take place inside.

Question

Is there free parking at the University Marriott?

Answer

Yes! The University Marriott is providing free parking for our guests, both for those who are staying at the hotel and for those who wish to stop by for the Sunday morning coffee and muffins. In order to secure free parking, please scan the QR code located on the "Gallery" tab of our website. Enter your license plate number and additional information, then click the blue link to enter validation code "COMP". The parking website can also be found at https://park.parkingmgt.com/start/60e67b0d-7dc7-42c2-bd1b-adeae32e5d1d

Question

What about Utah's Weird Liquor Laws?

Answer

You have probably heard of Utah's weird liquor quirks. Some of the ones to pay attention to: - If an establishment is licensed as a "bar", it is strictly 21 and over. If it is licensed as a "restaurant", all ages are welcome but you are required to buy food if you are drinking (an appetizer for the table will normally suffice). We recommend checking websites or calling ahead of time to check if guests younger than 21 are allowed. - Bars are required to scan IDs. If you don't have a drivers license make sure you bring a passport. - Long Islands are illegal...weird rules about mixing liquors (sorry Kathy) -All draft beers are 5% or under. "High Gravity" beers, greater than 5% can be bought in cans or bottles at bars or restaurants.
