Things To Do

Art Galleries Galore!

Art Galleries Galore!

Provincetown is America’s oldest continuous art colony, evident in PTown's many art galleries. We strongly suggest letting an evening stroll turn into an art walk. You're welcome to duck into galleries for most of the day and well into the evening to enjoy the spectacular work on display (like the painting by our friend Cynthia Packard, pictured here) or collect a new piece for your home.

Art's Dune Tours

Art's Dune Tours

4 Standish Street, Provincetown, MA 02657

Take a one-of-a-kind tour of the dunes of the Provincetown Cape Cod National Seashore, and see the famed "dune shacks" frequented by Ptown artists for decades. Art's offers 1-hour tours multiple times per day, including sunset tours. For anyone wanting a little more time on the Province Land, you can also charter private tours or sign up for a combo dune tour/sailing experience or dune tour/fishing excursion.

Biking

Ptown is a wonderful spot for biking, through the streets, to the dunes, or to the beach. Bring your own or rent one at the many bike rental locations all around town.

Set Sail

Set Sail

9 Macmillan Wharf, Provincetown, MA 02657

During the height of the pandemic, we took sailing lessons on Boston Harbor near our home. The experience of being on the water was magical (and only occasionally terrifying when facing down a ferry with no wind!). For those who haven't sailed, a quicker way to access the serenity of the open water is taking a 2-hour sail on a schooner manned by expert sailors.

Whale Watching

Whale Watching

Whales have always been a part of Provincetown—you can catch glimpses from the beach! The waters surrounding Ptown are home to humpback, right, and fin whales. Some of the best watching is from June through September during their peak migration period. For those interested in whale watching, we recommend Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch or SeaSalt Charters. Most tours are 3-4 hours.

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival

Amazing, Astonishing, Astounding Startling, Weird, Bizarre, Fantastic, Strange! For Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival's 18th Fall Season, the theme is Science Fiction & Fantasy. Multiple works and adaptations will be staged all over Ptown from September 21 - 24. Buy a festival pass or choose individual shows to purchase tickets. Locations all over Provincetown

Spiritus Pizza

Spiritus Pizza

190 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657

If you're craving late-night eats or a midday snack, iconic Ptown pizza shop Spiritus has what you need: Pizza, ice cream, coffee, and the best people watching in town. Cash only!

The Canteen

The Canteen

225 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA 02657

The best fish and chips Ashley's ever had. The biggest fried oysters. A beach-front patio. A fully-stocked bar. Plus way more seafood. What else do you need? Go for brunch, lunch, or dinner, and you can't go wrong.

Liz's Cafe Anybody's Bar

Liz's Cafe Anybody's Bar

31 Bradford Street, Provincetown, MA 02657

Do we understand the name? Absolutely not. Does that bother us while we're enjoying a decadent brunch at Liz's something something bar cafe? Absolutely not. If you need a hearty breakfast or brunch, visit Liz's. There will be a line.

For all the days along the way
