Annie was enjoying her last summer home before headed off to college, and Danny was home visiting after his freshman year. Both ended up working the same summer job in the childcare center at Lifetime Fitness (super romantic, surrounded by screaming children). They only had a few shifts together, but it only took one for Danny to tell everyone about the “cute new girl” he was working with. Alas, Annie was dating someone else at the time, but that didn't stop Danny from inviting her to a party and then texting her throughout the following year.

Fast forward almost a year from when they met, both headed back to Minnesota for another summer. It didn't take long for Danny to ask Annie out on a date. Unfortunately, Annie had just gotten her wisdom teeth out so the date was delayed by a week or two. After a summer spent together, Danny wanted to make it official, but Annie wasn't so sure. She swore she would not do long distance, but by the end of summer she caved, and they were working on a plan to make it work. The next few years consisted of 5.5 hour drives between Indianapolis and Madison for short weekends together.

Four years later, finally no longer doing distance, Danny asked Annie to marry him! On their fourth anniversary he took her out to sushi, and then set up a picnic for dessert at the Tidal Basin. A super romantic moment, followed by a tour group of middle schoolers congratulating them. They will be getting married on their sixth anniversary.
