Matt and Anna’s story begins on St. Patrick’s day in March of 2019. He was in Chicago for his bi-monthly homesick visit from Nashville, she was out with her closest friends enjoying one of the best holidays the city has to offer. The frigid winter chill was just starting to break, and neither of them knew the other was actively pursuing their life partner. Fortunate circumstances of that lucky day opened their hearts to one another, and a few months later they decided to give it a shot - even though they lived a few hundred miles away. “We’ll never know unless we try”, said Matt. They began their long-distance relationship, relying on trips to cities like Indianapolis and San Francisco to provide fleeting opportunities to truly get to know one another. When he finally moved home to Chicago, things took off. They became each other’s priorities and began to build a life together, both knowing in their hearts this was “it”. Matt proposed on St. Patrick’s day 4 years later. How lucky they are, to love somebody.
