Our favourite beach on the Sunshine Coast.
Visit Noosa National Park to see koalas in the wild, stunning beaches, and rock pools. Only a short walk away is Hastings Street which is filled with boutiques and restaurants.
Near our wedding venue are incredible Bed and Breakfasts you can stay in. Pictured is where we stayed at a place called Lillypillys in Maleny. Gorgeous views and lots of sweet little shops to visit. Check out Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, and Flaxton. This can be done in a day or you can stay the night and enjoy a spa treatment.
Lots of places to eat plus to have a boogie.
Another great place for food, drinks, and the beach. You can also book some great boat tours from here including swimming with whales!
One of our most favourite experiences was snorkeling and scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef.
Outback Spectacular puts on an incredible show with a feed. Definitely not something to miss. You can fit this into a day trip or spend a couple days down on the Gold Coast.
While you're here, be sure to attend a sporting event. We have a few sports you may not have seen before (AFL, Rugby League, netball, cricket). You can catch some local teams on the Sunshine Coast or head down to Brisbane or one of the other big cities (Melbourne, Sydney).
Lots to see in Sydney. You can catch a flight direct from the Sunshine Coast so you can visit the Harbour Bridge (pictured), Opera House, and lots of great food and bars.
We visited the Blue Mountains for Marco's birthday in 2020 and had a great time. Very relaxing with lots of amazing bush walks to go on.
Australia is filled with wineries. South Australia and Tasmania have some of the best. You will need to fly as these states are further away from QLD.
Don't forget to wear and reapply sunscreen! Just like our animals, the sun will kill you here too. The Aussie sun isn't forgiving and especially in QLD you can get burned very quickly. Don't let a bad sunburn ruin your trip.
