Sapphire
Maid of Honor & Sister
Sapphire is Amethyst's younger sister, and the second oldest in their clan. She and her fiancé, Travis, just had their first child in March – a beautiful baby girl named Sedona! Baby Sedona will be a whole three months old at the time of the wedding and she is VERY cute. She's the first baby from this generation of siblings, so we're pretty smitten with her. Sapphire and Amethyst have known each other their whole lives, as siblings do... so if you catch them cursing at each other, don't worry. It's their love language. They're fine.
Mesa
Bridesmaid & Sister
Mesa is the youngest sister and a proud resident of the great state of New York, where she spends most of her time with her boyfriend Tony. Mesa is an artist at heart, and her artistic talents stretch far and wide. Her interests range from the virtual world of Minecraft to the creative world of interior design (often combining the two!), to culinary arts in the kitchen. She has a special place in her heart for dogs and has recently started working as a dog sitter, but hopes to expand into the world of grooming, or even veterinary care.
Sophia
Bridesmaid & Sister
Sophia, Amethyst's sister and soon-to-be Wayne's crazy sister-in-law, is thrilled about the adventures that lie ahead for the newlyweds. She has a great love for animals (especially cats), dancing, writing, and above all, her family. She is overjoyed to be part of the celebration honoring the love between Ame and Wayne.
Alex Geiger
Bridesman & Brother
Alex is the youngest (and by far the tallest) in the Geiger bunch. He has recently discovered a newfound love for the plant kingdom and currently has many plant projects around the house. Vegetables, succulents, tropical plants, a Chia pet... you name it! He is also the designated dog-sitter for all the fam up here in Maine, and our pups love him just as much as we do.
Alex Marsh
Best Man
Alex is just that 100% genuine fella. You might say he’s “built different” from other folks. And you honestly might not meet a more positive, pragmatic, and understanding gentleman than he. He’s a young man but if you take the time to watch him work he will likely teach you a thing or two. Alex enjoys "the way life should be," sporting up in the North Woods, drinking craft beer, eating great food, and spending time with his lovely lass and their two pups. Wayne and Alex are Jim and Jim. Or the Jimz. So if you hear them calling each other Jim—they are JIM.
Britney Kelley
Photographer
The even better half to Alex Marsh, Brit is a battle-hardened crew member at Bar Harbor’s #1 world-famous ocean-to-table restaurant, Geddy's. And – more importantly – one hell of a photographer. She has a true passion and keen eye for capturing perfect moments, and the ability to make it look easy. She is a proud dog mom to Acadia and Fischer, and it is no wonder she also loves spending time outdoors on adventures with her pups and her special guy.
Chris
Groomsman & Cousin
Chris is Wayne’s favorite cousin and the one most likely to critique Wayne for putting too much garlic in the guacamole. From competing against each other in BMX bike races to sharing their passions for photography, travel, and music, they have formed a strong bond. Having spent a decade living in New York City, they have always made time to remain great friends. Chris looks forward to sharing laughs and engaging in conversations with everyone on Wayne and Amethyst’s special day.
Lauden
Groomsman
Lauden is an LA-based chef and one of 13 siblings raised in coastal Alaska. He has a deep appreciation for food, yet seems to live off ramen. He is an old and energetic soul, a consistently positive, strong individual, and an even stronger family man. He lives for the love of life and to cherish those closest to him. There’s not much he won’t do for others and it’s near impossible to upset the man (but Wayne sure knows how).
Grant
Groomsman & Brother
Grant is Wayne's younger brother and is a quiet, calm, and calculated gentleman—zen without attempt. It's no wonder he became a precision machinist. He has a knack for technical machine computing and spends his spare time 3D printing and learning to code at home. Grant has an expansive imagination and appreciates writing, reading, and immersive storytelling in books, audiobooks, film, and games.
Everly Winter
Flower Girl & Niece
Everly is the beautiful firstborn Princess Daughter of Angus and first grandchild to Tammie. Imaginative and thoughtful, she is always ready to help her dad and brother. She is also the adventurous captain of the Danger Duo. She’s as smart as a whip, so you'd better have your act together when requesting her presence!
Ru
Flower Girl & Lil' Sister
The lovely Rusea, or Ru for short, is the daughter of Darraha and an absolute gem. This girl may seem quiet and reserved, but don't be fooled – she's got a razor-sharp wit that will keep you on your toes! We couldn't be more excited to have Ru join us as one of our flower girls.
Dexter Danger
Ring Bearer & Nephew
Second-in-line and firstborn Prince to Angus, Tammie's second grandchild, and heavy hitter in the Danger Duo, Dexter is a handsome lad with an adventurous, free spirit just like his father. Not as eager to help with chores… yet.
Angus
Officiant & Oldest Brother
Angus is Wayne's big brother and first best friend. Though he might not know it, Gus taught Wayne how to be fearless, independent, and have a voice. Whatever Angus sets his mind to he seems to master. He is a thoughtful inquisitor and loves to learn about the mechanics of our physical universe, which also makes him a great teacher. Stubborn as hell, but when it comes down to it, Angus is one of the most loyal and resilient folks around. These qualities make him a great brother, father, and son – and our only choice for an officiant.
Terry & Lisa
Father of the Groom
Terry is Wayne's father and lives in beautiful Buckeye Arizona with his beautiful wife, Lisa. He flies jets through the skies for a living, and in his spare time, flies a (hand-rebuilt) Suzuki Samurai across the desert sands, scouting for brass to smelt at his home-base forge. Lisa is one of service always helping others and working for the state assisting families and children to get the support they need. Together they enjoy being a part of their church community as well as mini trips to the desert for campfires and charcuterie under the stars.
Ernie & Darraha
Father of the Bride
Ernie is Amethyst's father, and father to all the Geiger children. He has managed and owned successful restaurants and kitchens for most of his life, but has always been most at home spending time with his family, whether gathered around the dinner table, blasting tunes in the car on a road trip, or drifting inner tubes behind a boat. Darraha is his partner, and mother to two children, Josey and Ru (one of our flower girls!). She loves planning trips and is always up for an adventure! They have traveled all over the globe together and love hiking, being outdoors, and caring for their sheep, chickens, and Penelope the pig at their homestead farm in Maine.
Tammie
Mother of the Groom
Tammie is Wayne's mother. She is a professional, diamond-level Uber driver, and also drives the school kiddos around in a big yellow bus. She is a lifelong gardener and passed down her green thumb to Wayne at a young age. She loves bulbs – especially daffodils – and has even gifted and hand-delivered the bride and groom a large, gorgeous collection of bulbs for their home in Maine! She is hands-down one of the most generous people you'll ever meet. She is also the reason Wayne has such a passion for home preservation and cooking in-season, whole foods. Her secret chocolate cake and other baked goods are simply AMAZING–even after being tossed around in the mail for birthdays every year ❤️ (we need that recipe Mumma!)
Kiana & Garth
Mother of the Bride
Kiana is Amethyst's mother and lives in Maine with her husband, Garth. She owns a spa in Bar Harbor and runs a school there in the winter, where she teaches students the art and practice of massage therapy. Kiana has built her life from the ground up, making a name for herself in a competitive industry, in a competitive tourist town. She is also an impressive cook and is frequently pestered by Amethyst with questions like how long to bake vegetables for (Google is unreliable for such things). Garth is a personal trainer and spends most of his time either training fighters in the gym or reading from his awesome book collection. You’ll either see the side of him that can talk for hours about anything, or you might not see him at all. He’s probably running laps in the woods.
Abbie
Sister of the Groom
Despite having been tormented and terrorized by her three older brothers in early childhood development, Abbie turned out to be an all-around awesome gal. Her early years of fright might have something to do with her interest in horror films and heavy music—but one thing is for sure: she has a huge heart, her very own impeccable fashion sense, and has become a master thrifter to boot. Abbie loves spending time with her fiancé James and slashing her way through Hyrule with their handsome little man, Leo. Oh, and how could we forget her loyal pooch Parker!
Tara
Sister of the Groom
Tara is the beautiful boss lady you’d want as a manager. She’s hard-working, even-keeled, and understanding. She is empathetic and accepting of any life path, but if you’re out of line she’ll keep you on track! She’s married to Dustin, one of the coolest guys kicking around, with unmatched optimism and the ability to talk to anyone about anything with great comprehension and perspective. This handsome couple splits their time between sunny Arizona and the seaside of Seattle.
Trey
Brother of the Groom
Trey is maybe the most modest yet exceptionally brilliant man you could meet. He has forged his way through rigorous academics, graduating top of his class in high school and crushing four years at the University of Pennsylvania like they were a snack. He has traveled the world over and been a crucial member of multiple start-ups. There’s nothing this guy can’t do.
Danielle
Mom of the Bride
Danielle, Amethyst's stepmum, had always dreamed of having a small herd of children, and that dream became a reality when she met Ernie in 2002. They raised five wonderful children – four girls and one boy. Proud Grammi to the first grandchild, Sedona, and all the grand pups, Danielle is elated to welcome Wayne into their crazy clan. Family holds the utmost significance in her heart, and she is filled with joy as she witnesses it continue to expand and grow ♥️
John
Dad of the Bride
John lives in New York along with Amethyst's sister Mesa, his partner Nicole, and her daughter Marissa. He is a Physician's Assistant by day, and an avid backpacker... also by day (and night). Some of Amethyst's favorite memories are of the many day hikes with John and her siblings. It's safe to say they did not go willingly, but there's a special sense of accomplishment that comes with summiting a mountain you once thought you couldn't. Also, the top of the mountain was usually where the good snacks came out.
