It was one fateful summer, six years ago - two kids were scrolling through a dating app, looking for love. He saw her. She saw him. They "swiped right." Their first date was on a warm summer night in Bar Harbor, Maine. They met in the park and took a stroll to a popular ice cream place, which, unfortunately, was closed. Unfazed by the setback, they decided to continue their walk to the shore, where they sat by the water, enjoying each other's company. They talked and laughed well into the night, and before they knew it, it was time for him to give her a ride home in his old-school Audi TT. Their second date was at Wayne's farmhouse, where he prepared a home-cooked meal. Seared scallops, summer squash, and a yummy alfredo pasta - it was delicious. Impressed by his culinary skills, she followed him to the back porch to enjoy the cool evening breeze. They sat there, overlooking the cultivated farm plots, listening to the crickets and the peepers, and once again talked and laughed well into the night. Now, many successful ice cream dates, home-cooked meals, a new house, four pets, and many cars later, they are ready to start the next new and exciting chapter of their lives!
