We're so excited to be sharing our special event with you in Joe's hometown, and we hope you can stay a little while to enjoy the sites and culture of Hawaii! Here are some travel recommendations.

"Homebase" for all wedding events, plus snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, golfing, beach yoga, spa days, dining and poolside sunbathing. There are eight dining locations on site, ranging from kid-friendly poolside cafes to more formal beachside candlelight! We recommend making dinner reservations before you arrive. Maunakea Summit & Observatory

Maunakea Summit & Observatory

Visit this dormant volcano, which is the highest peak in the state of Hawaii and the tallest mountain in the world as measured from the ocean base! Hike for a while or rent a 4WD vehicle to get to the top. Bundle up - there will be snow! Go at night for stargazing at the observatory, perched at 13K feet.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Hike into two active volcanos: Mauna Loa and Kilauea. Kilauea is the most active volcano in the world! Spend a day here, or more. Start at the Visitor's Center for up-to-date info on trails, safety information and where to expect lava flow.

Manta Ray Night Dive

Dive or snorkel with Manta Rays at night - truly a once in a life time majestic experience. There are three great locations on the west coast of the Big Island: Manta Point, Manta Heaven and Manta Village.

Kealakekua Bay

Tour around this scenic inlet via kayaks or a glass bottom boat tour. Visit Capitan Cook Monument and swim with fish, spinner dolphins, turtles and manta rays!

National Historic Sites

Pu'ukohola Heiau and Pu'uhonua o Honaunau are both wonderful parks. Visit ruins of the last major Ancient Hawaiian temple, and other historic Hawaiian sites.

For the coffee lovers! There are over 600 coffee farms on the Big Island, and many offer tours.

Waipio Valley

Start at the Lookout for beautiful sites of the valley, cliffs and waterfalls. Hike or jeep to the black sand beach. You may even spot some wild horses.
