Matt is a proud father of six: sweet baby Ava plus his five Weber grills. With his affection already spread so thin, I feel lucky that he's been such a great brother and friend through the years. He is an excellent partner on the Kubb field, a gracious loser on the pool table, and a legendary best-man-speech-giver on the stage (or at least, we hope so).

Andrew is a big fixture of our lives in Boston, making daily unannounced visits to our apartment. He is a savvy travel partner, steadfast bar trivia teammate, and shameless consumer of canned beans in very large quantities. He wrote a 5-minute standup routine and may perform during reception! He also loses consistently to Allison in the NYT Spelling Bee.

A fellow Hoos fan and KS critic (if you know, you know), Andy and I go way back to the first-year SEED consulting club at UVA. He has many great qualities (I'll think of them later) but one serious vice: he is the world's slowest board game player. Fellow Basye adventurer, Wydown superfan, and Pandemic Pod member.
Aydin Cashel

Aydin is a fellow survivor of the ill-fated Grand Canyon run and countless other foolish adventures. He is also a trivia savant, marathon training buddy, perpetual last-place loser in Bohnanza, and Pandemic Pod member. He recently flew from DC to Boston to run 35 miles with <12 hours notice, exhibiting strong loyalty but poor judgment.

Co-founder of the Patagonia Big Eaters Club, Ben regularly packs in 4,000+ calories per day. The wedding venue has been warned. Master of the Ooni pizza oven, shockingly chatty running partner, and most-improved darts player (still has never won).
Evan Lumbra

The matchmaker who introduced me to Allison, Evan was the OG Atlanta roommate and partner in crime on the Ormsby's pool tables. I taught him everything he knows about music (poor guy hadn't heard of Supertramp), and it's been amazing to watch him grow.
Jake Higdon

A budding friendship really took off when Jake graciously asked me to drive him 6 hours from DC to NC for his COVID vaccine. An avid fan of cake pops and mini Heineken kegs, Jake revealed some questionable preferences on the trip but effectively debated the merits of swamps vs. bogs vs. fens. Board game extraordinaire, patient tennis instructor, and Pandemic Pod member.
Louis Gruber

Louis and I go way back to Spanish-language nerd camp in high school. As my first-year college roommate and apartment-mate for several years thereafter, Louis had a front-row seat to my struggles learning to "adult" (ask him for stories). Louis is a deeply loyal friend, and has a hidden talent: he can do the splits. Request this on the dance floor!

Living with Mike in college entailed many adventures: hosting Spookzillapalooza Halloween parties, supporting me through a Subway eating competition (2 footlong subs in ~8 minutes), driving 28 hours round trip for a one-day Mardi Gras outing. None of these were healthy, but all were very fun. Like Louis, Mike can do the splits.
