York Beach also known as Long Sands Beach is located in (you guessed it) York Maine, which is a really fun beach town with lots of shops and things to do. It is about a 30 minute drive from Dover, NH. There's also a beautiful 1.5 mile Cliff Walk in York (more details here!: https://mainebyfoot.com/cliff-walk-york/ ). The Nubble Lighthouse is also nearby. **Recommend getting here earlier in the day to beat crowds / get parking!
If you are going to stop in York Maine, definitely check out Nubble Lighthouse!
Quintessential New England colonial town that is celebrating its 400 year birthday this summer! The town is about 20 minutes from Dover. Fun to walk around, lots of cute shops and good restaurants. Highly recommend eating at one of the "decks" of Portsmouth (Surf, Martingale Wharf, Riverhouse, The Oar House). Will need a reservation to get a spot at one of these restaurants but it's definitely worth the effort for the view of the harbor!! Additionally, the Portsmouth Tall Ships will be in the harbor during our wedding weekend so highly recommend checking out this nautical novelty!!
Kittery is a super quaint Maine coastal town right across from Portsmouth, NH! You can check out the shops, and also go to Seapoint Beach. Definitely recommend checking out Pepperell Cove for some great harbor views, lobster rolls, and burgers.
Our wedding venue is on golf course! Only 15 minutes from the hotel
Awesome short hike (~3 miles total) with views of Lake Winnipesaukee at the top! Recommend taking the main trail which is out and back. The trail head is about 40 minutes from Dover.
