Ajay and Krupali met the traditional way by both swiping right on a dating app! Krupali, intrigued by Ajay’s profile claims of being an excellent +1 to weddings and able to parallel park on the first try, wanted to see if sparks would fly in the midst of the pre-vaccine COVID era. Their first date was at Aldo Sohm wine bar on November 17th, 2020. They instantly connected over their love for travel, passion for medicine (both are residents at NYU), and exploring NYC’s rooftop lounges [the safest dating option during COVID]. Time flew during their first date, and they talked for so long the bar closed! They quickly made plans to meet again. Their second date involved a trip to the Museum of Modern Art, where both claimed they could “easily paint that,” followed by dinner at Sierra by Birreria, and a long walk in NYC! The date was 9 hours long and both were left with a gut feeling that this could be “the one!” Krupali loved Ajay’s kind and caring nature, his sense of humor, and zest for life. Ajay was drawn to Krupali’s depth, intellect and warm personality. Over the next year, from cooking for each other after tough call shifts, to studying together, to exploring all that NYC had to offer, Krupali and Ajay grew closer. Ajay proposed to Krupali in April 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal - it was the easiest decision she ever made! Krupali and Ajay are excited to welcome all of you to their wedding. We are incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such loving family and friends, and we are so happy to share the start of this new journey with you!
