Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our events are traditional Pakistani events! If desired, guests can shop online for Pakistani wear. Else colorful cocktail attire is suggested for Friday and formal wear for Saturday. For women, we recommend formal or wedding wear from https://www.saroshsalman.com/ or Salwar Kameez, Sarees, or Lehengas from https://www.lashkaraa.com. Traditionally, we wear bright colors Nikah/Mehndi event on Friday and any color for the Saturday Shalima reception. If you plan on wearing Pakistani clothes for just one event, we recommend wearing it for the Mehndi on Friday! For men, we suggest bright colored kurta and shalwar pants for the Nikah/Mehndi event on Friday and suits for the Saturday Shalima. Kurta and shalwar pants can be purchased from Junaid Jamshed US. The kurta (shirt) can be selected from https://us.junaidjamshed.com/collections/men-kurta and the pants from https://us.junaidjamshed.com/collections/men-bottom/products/jjps-us-305-s22-jj8056?variant=42703117025527. Please be sure that both items are from J. US, else there will be higher shipping costs. Please reach out to Nazia Zamir (609-273-0072 or naziazamir13@gmail.com) for any questions!
