We met on a random Friday in Harry's. I thought he was the best listener ever, and I liked it. The only problem was that he didn't understand what I was saying, so he didn't know what to answer. He was not listening; he was trying to understand something. Unfortunately, I was already in love with him. After that, I texted a friend and said I would marry him one day. But the journey was not going to be easy. He decided not to contact me for a week ("to keep it cool")—the longest week of my life. On our third date, I convinced him to try an Irish Pub called Galway. He claimed that when he saw the enormous amount of food we were served, he realized we were made for each other. And here we are, two years later, trying to eat less to fit in our wedding outfits and waiting for you to celebrate with us in Pamplona. Nos conocimos un viernes cualquiera en Harry's. I immediately knew Helena was a perfect match for me. At first I thought she was brilliant, gorgeous, liked good music, told hilarious stories about her family (especially her brother), and was just the perfect amount of odd ("extraño"). It didn't take long for me to realize she was one of the most thoughtful and intellectually gifted people I've ever met. Helena puts everyone else before herself, and very early on I felt love for her. She had a warped bathroom door in the apartment where she lived when we met; her roommate got stuck in there, so I got her a paint scraper as a gift for Christmas. Needless to say, she thought that was strange. But I think to this day, even if she doesn't admit it, she appreciated that gift, and the story serves as a perfect testament to the dynamic of our relationship.
