Official RSVPs were due on May 1st, 2019. Your postcard indicating meal choice and song request are due back to us by November 1, 2019. We understand that mailing your RSVP with a "Save the Date" is a little unconventional, but we wanted to make sure we give ourselves plenty of time to plan our international wedding so that we have the best possible day for us and our guests. We also wanted to make sure our guest have plenty of time to obtain passports and visas if needed. If you are sending yours back from within the USA, your RSVP is a postcard and already is covered for postage, so just fill it out and pop it back in the mailbox! If you are one of our International relatives or friends, please check with your local post office to get the correct postage on the card. We weren't able to figure that out on our end - WHOOPS! We love you and hope you don't mind. Planning an international wedding from across the pond is a bit clunky and complicated, so thank you for bearing with us.
Yes! We will have a very special, one of a kind shuttle from Brompton Lakes to Middleton Lodge. Those that are not going to be staying at Brompton Lakes or Middleton Lodge can choose to drive or taxi over to the venue or Brompton Lakes before hand. We will also have a shuttle service beginning at 10pm the night of the wedding to take people back to Brompton Lakes. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes with the last shuttle leaving at 12:30am.
After a lot of consideration, we have decided to forgo having a Colorado reception. We know initially that was the plan, but after looking at costs, and the amount of planning it would take we decided to just focus on our England wedding.
We want you to be comfortable, but looking your best! Ladies -- get out your fascinators! Suggestions for Ladies: Midi-length dresses, sundresses, formal pantsuits or blouse with skirt/dress pants, etc. Suggestions for Men: Suit and tie, Sports coat with dress pants, button down shirt with khaki pants, etc.
Your menu card is included on the tear off postcard included with your Formal Invitation. Please indicate your choice for meal options - Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian. As the date gets closer and we are given the 2020 menu from the venue we will update our website with the exact meals for each option. If there is something you really don't like and want to change - please contact us directly. Please let us know if you have specific dietary requirements and the venue will accommodate your needs!
We would HIGHLY recommend that you invest in an insurance that will cover you, your guest and/or family for health expenses and travel expenses. We recommend www.travelguard.com for pricing and package options.
The end of March in the UK could be a complete grab bag of weather! Rain, sun, snow, fog, wind -- there is no way to know. We recommend you pay attention to weather patterns in the coming days before your trip to make sure you pack appropriately. Don't worry, the wedding will be indoors so there is not much to worry about during the celebration.
We certainly hope not but it is really hard to predict the future! Charlotte has spent a lot of time speaking with customs and immigration in the UK and it appears that everything will be "business as usual" by the time of our wedding. As things stand, the UK is due to leave the European Union on January 31, 2020. If it happens then the only benefit for us Americans is that the pound might initially drop in value against the dollar making travel cheaper ;-) So keep your eyes peeled for those currency exchange rates!
Yes! Please head to our "events" tab to check out the other fun things going on. All of guests are invited to any of the events.
