Puget Sound Express
Whale Watching is easily Abby's favorite activity! See the link for Puget Sound Express. They have locations in Edmonds, WA & Port Townsend, WA. Port Townsend is a bit further (about an 1.5 hr drive), but does have a slightly higher likelihood of catching a glimpse of Orcas! This photo was taken by Abby in May 2023 in Port Townsend.
Edmonds, WA
Explore Edmonds, a cute town near the western edge of the greater-Seattle area. Located about 30-45 minutes from Downtown Redmond. It also has a view of the Olympic Mountain range on a clear day! Lots of great food and great shopping
Snoqualmie Falls
Snoqualmie Falls is a gorgeous massive waterfall that is almost 300 feet tall. Located about 30 minutes from Downtown Redmond
Lake Twenty-Two Trailhead
One of my favorite hikes in Washington. Located about 1.5 hr from downtown Redmond without traffic. If you do this hike, you must arrive early - before 8 am! Otherwise it gets crowded. 6 miles total, but worth every step!
Rattlesnake Ledge Trailhead
Located about 45 minutes from Downtown Redmond, this is one of Seattle’s favorite trails! 5.3 miles long with gorgeous views!
North Cascades National Park
Located between 2-3 hours from Seattle, North Cascades National Park is one of Abby and Dallas’ favorite places. If you have time for a longer excursion, we highly recommend checking out Mt. Baker or North Cascades.

There are endless tasting rooms in Woodinville. We recommend Chateau Ste Michelle, Maryhill Tasting Room, JM Cellars. Make sure to try to get a reservation ahead of time, or call ahead!

Located walking distance from Hotel Archer, Molly Moon’s is one of Seattle’s most iconic local ice cream shops. A must try!

Din Thai Fung is a classic west coast chain. A must visit when on the west coast! If you go, make sure to get the spicy wontons and the soup dumplings
