We recommend arriving Saturday (or earlier!) to have time to settle in, adjust to the timezone, and explore the area prior to the festivities beginning!
Yes! We will provide transportation to and from the venue from the hotels listed on our wedding website - including Divani Apollon Palace, Palmyra Beach Hotel, Athenian Riviera Hotel & Suites and Amarilia Hotel. If you prefer to drive, there will be parking available at the venue. *The exact pick up location for the bus is detailed on the "Events" tab.
We are planning on having both an Indian and American/Greek ceremony, immediately followed by a cocktail hour and reception. Timeline of Events: - Indian Ceremony - Indian Cocktail hour with Indian food & mocktails - American Ceremony - Cocktail hour with food & cocktails - Dinner / Reception - Dancing the night away!
Both our wedding and reception are planned to be outdoors. However, if the weather does not permit, we will move the festivities indoors.
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire (suits or sports jackets for men and evening gowns or formal Indian dresses for women) in any color, excluding white.

The weather in Athens couldn't be more perfect than it is in May. It offers a "best of both worlds" vibe. The atmosphere is warm enough to feel like summertime (with average daytime temperatures hovering around 77°F (25°C)) but it's not stifling hot yet. Don't forget your sunscreen!
You can either take an Uber/cab to and from the airport, or drive yourself if you are renting a car.
Yes. They drive on the right side of the road just like in the US and the GPS works perfectly. We recommend booking a car in advance for pickup from the Athens airport once you land. According to the U.S. Embassy & Consulate in Greece, U.S. citizen tourists with stays less than six months with a valid United States driver’s license can drive in Greece with their U.S. license. If you would like to get an International Driving Permit, please check out https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html. Alternatively, you can take Ubers/cabs everywhere you want to go!
Greece uses the Euro. You can exchange currency with your bank prior to traveling, at the airport once you land, or at your hotel lobby.
- If you plan on traveling to other islands before or after the wedding, please ensure to book ferry or plane tickets in advance. - You will need to bring a suitable plug adapter to fit a US plug into a Greek power outlet. - Remember to call your bank and let them know you will be traveling to Greece so they do not block your card.
