Hannah, I’m truly sorry your New Year’s Eve experience at Velveteen Rabbit did not meet your expectations on such an important day. As one of the busiest nights of the year, pricing for the patio rental reflected the exclusivity of securing private space during such a high-demand evening. When your group arrived, our server welcomed your party but delayed taking drink orders at your request until guests had settled in. Once orders were placed, drinks were prepared promptly. Your event included one server and one bartender exclusively for your party, with additional staff available as needed. To prepare for your event, we stocked extra propane, purchased a new heater specifically for your party, and replaced tanks as needed throughout the evening. We also purchased New Year’s Eve party gear at your request, at no added charge, to enhance the celebration. The patio rental does not include customized music, and no preferences were communicated beforehand. Our in-house DJ played an eclectic mix aligned with the venue’s ambiance, which unfortunately did not align with your expectations. Your package included a premium open bar with craft cocktails, a feature not typically offered at comparable venues. While the full buyout, which was offered and declined, would have been better suited to your vision, we worked to create a memorable event within the scope of the package.
