    Tween Waters was an absolute dream. We had our wedding on the beach (5:30 PM) and reception (6:00-10:00 PM) in the Wakefield Room. Logistically, it was so nice to have everything, including lodging, on the same property. It cut down transportation time between venues like other weddings I've been to. We structured our wedding day so that the entire morning, we spent time with our loved ones at the beach, and got meals with family on site which was so relaxing and fun. We wanted our wedding to feel like a family vacation and Tween helped us achieve everything. We worked with Debra who is beyond amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and worked above and beyond to ensure our day was incredible. All of the guests raved about the food and desserts. We opted to get a spread of Tween's desserts instead of a wedding cake because we love having options and are so glad we went that route. Tween is also extremely detail-oriented, especially if you have guests with food allergies. Our guests who stayed on the property had an absolute blast, and many of them now want to make Tween a part of their family vacations. Tween has many different package options that are customizable depending on your guest count and preferences. Getting ready in an ocean-facing cottage was out of this world amazing and relaxing. Staying on the property allowed flexibility in my outfit change and was able to rinse the sand off our feet before the reception. We were also able to get amazing sunset photographs in my second outfit. Our only regret is that we wish we had extended our stay by a few days after the wedding. We didn't want to leave!

    Y After months of searching and tours of this places my Wife and I decided this is where we want to get married. . The venue agent at the time was Cindy, she never bothered to learn my name. Called me the wrong name multiple times. She had also told us we would be able to have an unofficial welcome party down by the pool. That ended up being another lie as she then told us we would have to pay 10k to reserve the whole pool and buy all their food. There are many more things she has told us, and almost everything turned out to not be true as they didn’t honor any of it. When I checked in, they had given me the wrong room, I had paid for a large suite, they gave me a small room with only two queen beds and would not move me to the correct room nor refund me the difference. Instead they gave me an extra 25 for resort credit, which covered 2 drinks of mine. We had requested to change 2 of the alcohols on the drink package. Which they did, but not even two hours into our reception they ran out of both drinks. One of the drinks was our “speciality drink”. We were also promised a one night free stay for the next 10 years, In The cottage that my wife and I stayed in on our wedding night. I called to make the reservation for a weekend, and the reservation receptionist had told me they no longer honor that. Then she said her manager is willing to honor that promotion since we are grandfathered in. But we would have to book 3 nights and get the 4th night free. So not at all what we were told and what was in our contract. Summary of everything, tween waters lied to us many many times just so we would spend our money there. We were told we would be able to do a number of things and they have since taken all that back. We will not be returning and I recommend you don’t book with them. There are plenty nicer places around Captiva.

    I cannot thank Cindy and Tween Waters enough for making my dream a reality!! Everything was perfect and actually exceeded my expectations on the wedding day! We got married just before sunset (as recommended) on 11-18-23 with a champagne toast after sunset before a lovely reception in the Wakefield room overlooking the moonlit Gulf of Mexico. The food was phenomenal- highly recommend the crab stuffed shrimp and prime rib!! What a dream and wonderful experience I will cherish forever. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
