Grace River Island Resort is a stunning private tropical island sunset wedding venue that can host up to 80 guests (up to 90 with children) and a large house that sleeps 20 and is located in the middle of the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida. Most people check in on Thursday or Friday and check out on Sunday or Monday, making it a relaxing wedding weekend. The island is accessible by a land bridge, creating a sense of serenity while still being close to the city. This luxurious resort is well-suited to host sunset weddings ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, destination weddings, and couples hoping to escape for their honeymoon. The owners Mike and Karen Peterson hope that their island serves as a relaxing space for such a magical occasion. It is place that you and your guests will remember forever!

Our 2000 sq ft deck is raised up directly on the water surrounded by bamboo, coconut trees and other tropical foliage. There are 600 market lights overhead and LED lights surrounding the deck. The area is spacious enough for a sweetheart table, round tables for guests, DJ, dancing area, bar, buffet tables, desert table, memories table and more. It is the perfect place for a private reception that you and your guests will remember forever.

Amazing Venue, Unforgettable Views, Smart Choice!
What can we say about Grace River Island Resort.... As a wedding planner & Entertainment Company we have had the opportunity to produce events of all sizes, styles, and latitude in luxury. We also recognize and appreciate the monetary value and peace of mind found in having a venue that "checks all the boxes" in beauty, size and value. There are so many advantages to holding an event at this venue. Grace River Island Resort is such a great choice as a wedding venue! The property has breathtaking views of the water that surround you on three sides creating a picturesque backdrop for each and every photo taken. The property itself is beautifully laid out creating a seamless transition of gathering spaces that are ideal for accommodating guest counts of both large and more intimate sizes. the owners (Mike and Karen) have carefully created countless beautiful and inviting gathering areas around the property. Our personal favorites aspects is having 3 separate spaces to transition your guests throughout your wedding from Ceremony to Cocktail Hour to Dinner and Reception areas with multiple different areas to choose from allowing you to create a your very own experience and your own overall personal vibe! Lets not forget the built in inclement weather backup plan, monetary savings value of rental items that are included in your package such as Ceremony Arch, Chairs, Reception Tables, Cloths, Chairs, and Cocktail Tables. Wonderful Wedding Venue
Our wedding was 2/1/25 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Grace River Island was the perfect backdrop for our wedding celebration. From the moment we first contacted them, the team was attentive, helpful, and responsive in every way. Skye, the venue coordinator, made sure all the details were taken care of so we could truly enjoy our special day. The venue itself is beautifully maintained, with a stunning natural setting that was ideal for our ceremony. Our family stayed on the island for 4 days and found the resort had all the amenities we needed, including a gorgeous bridal suite. The sunsets over the water were truly breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to say "I do." We highly recommend Grace River Island to any couple looking for a picturesque and stress-free wedding experience.
Amazing Venue and Amazing Owners!
We cannot thank Mike, Karen, and Skye enough for making our wedding day a truly unforgettable and blessed experience! Grace River Island Resort is absolutely beautiful. Mike has been the kindest, most responsive, and easy-to-work-with owner throughout the entire process. His attention to detail and genuine care for our big day made everything so smooth and stress-free. Skye, the venue coordinator, was a true blessing. She went above and beyond throughout the entire day, ensuring that everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. Her support made all the difference, and we are so thankful for her help. The venue provided everything we could have possibly needed—from vendor referrals and tables, chairs, and linens, to toiletries, hair dryers, and eating utensils. They even had games, grills, beach towels, bridal and groom suites, and a stunning cross arbor. It was clear that everything was thoughtfully provided to make our day as beautiful and seamless as possible. Our families can’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue was, and some are already planning to rent the space again for a family reunion! We are so grateful to the Petersons and Skye for making our wedding day not only memorable but also a true blessing. We will cherish and remember this day for the rest of our lives. Perfect Wedding
This venue is beautiful and accommodating. Up to 20 guests can stay at the venue. We booked it for 2 nights. We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at GRIR the night before our wedding and stayed overnight again after the wedding. We had the most beautiful 360 degree sunsets both nights. The weather was perfect. We were allowed to have our dogs in our ceremony. Everything worked out great. Mike the owner did a fantastic job with vendor suggestions. He’s very professional and helpful.
