About this venue
The Farmhouse at People’s Light is the premier venue in Chester County for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. From our cathedral ceilings and fabulous dance floor to breathtaking ceremony options and endless photo ops throughout the grounds, you’ll find everything you need right here. As a subsidiary of People’s Light, we’re passionate about stories, and we want to be a part of yours. When you choose. Nestled among seven acres of idyllic scenery, our property pairs rustic roots with country charm. Our spaces include our 1700s farmhouse, a modern 200-person ballroom, a hardwood-floored and cathedral-ceilinged, indoor pavilion, all surrounded by our meticulously curated gardens. The newly renovated restaurant occupies three rooms of a 1700s farmhouse, complete with two working fireplaces and surrounded by perennial gardens. Familiarity walks hand in hand with the unexpected; old and new blend to form a timeless ambiance that is comfortable and welcoming.

The Pavilion
An intimate setting featuring a custom, handmade wooden bar and unique lighting features
The Pavilion's cozy space is easily customizable for any occasion. Featuring a custom, handcrafted wooden bar and lots of natural light, this 1200-square-foot room is perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hour, and small to mid-sized events such as showers, dinners, and parties. The cathedral-ceilinged room connects to the ballroom and the 30' x 45' tent.

The Pavilion offers dimmable lighting, rustic whisky barrels, Farmhouse and round tables, low and high cocktail tables, Chiavari chairs, access to the bar, and a choice of black or ivory floor-length linens. The highlight of the pavilion is our custom, hand-crafted bar made from reclaimed wood, flanked by two lamps made from recycled materials. The lamps and bar are made by artist Hank Adams.

$600 per additional hour over the package time
The Tent
A charming covered outdoor space adorned with handmade string lights and chandelier
Just outside the Ballroom is our approximately 1350-square-foot tent, available from April to November. With one of our unique chandeliers, outdoor string lights, and space heaters during the cooler months, this multi-purpose space is great for any time of day.

Enhanced with a brick archway and perennial florals, this picturesque location is available from spring to fall. The Garden is our most popular photoshoot location, with access to the original façade and door of the 1700s farmhouse that houses the venue.

The Ballroom is The Farmhouse's largest event space - approximately 3100 square feet - making it perfect for receptions and other large events. Adorned with unique, handmade lighting and windows, the space is simultaneously classic and eclectic. The Ballroom directly connects to the Pavilion.

Our brunch wedding package offers a unique daytime celebration for couples and guests alike. Similar to a classic evening reception, brunch weddings consist of a cocktail hour followed by a meal and dancing. Elevated takes on brunch favorites are served throughout the event, from Bloody Marys, mimosas, and champagne to hors d'oeuvres including chicken and waffles, bite-sized sausage, and quiche.

One of our FAVORITE Wedding Venues
We have had the privilege of working at the Farmhouse at People's Light on multiple ocassions and couldn't recommend it more highly. The Farmhouse is such a unique space, with creative locally made art on display and integrated throughout the property, both indoors and out! Some of our favorite features include the cozy bridal suite with a working fireplace and how the event space perfectly flows from indoors to outdoors. Richard & Dawn are two of the kindest and best people to work with in the wedding world, with an ability to help organize a perfect event and keep you smiling through everything. A review wouldn't be complete without also saying that the Farmhouse has some of the BEST food! We are never disappointed in the delicious options.
