This covered patio was once held dinner parties of recipes featured in the early days of Sunset Magazine. Now, it serves as a lounge area, a buffet line, or even a dance floor for rustic weddings. The patio overlooks the larger part of the lawn with views of the stables and mountains. An entry into the house leads to the kitchen, making it an easy access point for your caterer to retrieve dishes.

The wedding suite features a small room and full restroom. As it is quite small, some folks have opted to use the hallway as well. Natural light pours in through the skylights – a feature popularized by its debut in Sunset Magazine. The doors to the hallway may be closed for full privacy. A second restroom is next to the suite. A third restroom is available outside of the area that guests may while the wedding party is getting ready.

The rich history of the ranch house has been preserved in even the smallest ways. The cozy living room features mid-century furniture similar to what was used by the previous residents. The original wallpaper maintains its vintage, historic vibe. As the ranch also serves as an educational center, natural history items such as bones and taxidermy on display. The inside is rather small, so most renters opt to have their event primarily outdoors.
