About this venue
Lovely Lane—while serving an active congregation—has hosted public groups for decades at our mid-Baltimore heritage site location. Yet, our space had limitations until recently. Modern amenities have been added since 2020 to improve the visitor experience and increase public use of our historic building. These amenities include: ADA-compliant street-front access ramp into building Four additional gender-neutral restrooms on main floor Air conditioning with fresh air mixing component in Fellowship Hall space

Sanctuary
Lovely Lane UMC is the mother church of American Methodism. It is a beautiful historic space filled with Baltimore and Methodist history.
The Sanctuary is on two floors. The first floor has a main entrance that is accessible from the outside. The second floor is accessible through a staircase near the main entrance and an additional staircase in the Sanctuary.

Fellowship Hall
Lovely Lane's fellowship hour is a wonderful place for an intimate reception or dinner. We can house up to 125 guests.
This space includes a 5,000 sq. ft floor and a stage. The kitchen is also connected to this space.

Our chapel is a unique place full of historic charm.
This space is 2,500 sq. ft with a 3-story high arched ceiling and natural light Tiffany windows.

Off-peak pricing $2,000
7,500 sq. ft. space with a seating capacity of over 750 for weddings. A beautiful sanctuary featuring a painted sky on the ceiling and a historic Roosevelt organ. 3 1/2 hours included. 250$ for each additional hour. The Renter must include any set-up or take-down time in the paid rental period.

This spacious venue measures 7,500 square feet and can accommodate over 750 guests for weddings. It features a stunning sanctuary with a painted sky on the ceiling and a historic Roosevelt organ. We also offer a variety of add-ons to help you create a package that perfectly suits your needs for your special day. 3.5 hours includes set up and tear down time. $250 for each additional hour.

Magnificent Space!
A wonderful space in which to sing, perform, and have a special event - such as a wedding, a memorial service, or rehearsals. There is plenty of space for all kinds of activities. With permission, we were able to use different areas of the space. Lovely Lane is very accommodating!
