About this venue

Block 41 is one of downtown Seattle’s newest and most unique private event venues. Located in the heart of Belltown, the impeccably renovated former ice warehouse offers three discrete indoor spaces on two levels, plus a landscaped outdoor courtyard. Block 41 combines the best of old and new – massive old growth timber, exposed brick walls, and vintage car decking merge gracefully with blackened steel, leather column wraps, and state-of-the-art building systems. Award-winning architecture firm Graham Baba, along with other local artists and craftsmen, collaborated to repurpose this vintage industrial building into a unique and elegant multi-purpose event venue.

Bert & Tot Ballroom

A blend of luxury and industrial chic with wide plank oak floors, concrete & brick, blackened steel, and massive old-growth timber

Bright and airy, the ballroom is located on the second floor, elevated above the bustle of Bell Street, with daylight streaming in from three sides. As a bonus, it is connected to the outdoor Courtyard, a landscaped oasis accessible through a large glass roll-up door.

Ewing Theater

Cool and Eclectic

Modern amenities in the theater are thoughtfully blended into the historical elements of the building’s lower level, with raw, board-formed concrete walls, an unfinished Douglas fir support structure, and polished concrete floors. With a retractable wall, the theater can be separated into two smaller spaces.

Outdoor Courtyard

Urban oasis and secret garden

It is a landscaped garden of delights, from the “Greetings” mural by graffiti artist Victor Vong to the illuminated stainless-steel fence by artist Stephen Hirt. The Courtyard’s 12-foot-tall living wall and evergreen landscape introduce nature and create a welcoming oasis within downtown Seattle. The large Ipé wood deck is perfect for banquet seating whether open to the stars or tented. The Courtyard merges seamlessly with the Bert & Tot Ballroom through a large glass roll-up door.
