My name is Sarah James Middleton, and I am a Wedding and Boudoir Photographer located in the DMV area. I am obsessed with capturing love. I strive to find the little moments and capture them so you can hold onto them forever. Love and a little magic go a long way to making your day better than you imagined. I'm here to document the real, the raw, and the romantic. Let's make something magical together.

A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, I have spent the past few years working in both freelance and editorial production in NY and D.C and have shot over 100 weddings in over 25 states! One thing that sets me apart from other photographers is that I’ve worked for years directing models- this comes in handy with making sure we get the best shots and most flattering angles and also with making you the most comfortable you can be on your big day!

    Sarah is a fantastic photographer with many creative ideas and approaches. She utilized the venue and spaces to encapsulate our vision. Very easy going to work with, always making sure we were comfortable and having fun. Highly recommend.

    Sarah James Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. From the first time we spoke, Sarah and her partner Jack were incredibly responsive, calming, and quick to address any questions or concerns we had. Their professionalism, talent, and supportive, reassuring approach put us at ease throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, Sarah and Jack complimented each other perfectly, bringing the best energy and making us feel less awkward since we don't take many photos. They captured the fun, energetic vibe of the night beautifully. They were also super friendly and nice to all our guests, who loved working with her. We're thrilled with the photos so far!!

    I had the pleasure of working with Sarah for my wedding, and I can't say enough good things about her. Her communication was always timely and clear, which made the planning process seamless. The quality of their work was incredible - the photos she captured were high quality and exactly what I had envisioned for our special day.     We had so much fun with Sarah the day we took our engagement photos. Her editing style consists of a various amount of different aesthetics. Some pictures we got back had this really cool blurry effect on them which made them look very whimsical. Well others were a classic black-and-white that we used for our invitations, she’s a hype- woman and definitely can show you how to pose when you feel uncomfortable!
