My photography journey started in high school, photographing church and community events. From there it was natural transition to begin offering photo sessions to my friends and family, and so Joy Shots was born in 2014.I was privileged to shoot my first wedding for a friend in 2015 and I have since had the honor to photograph over 50 weddings. I love the chances I have to work with couples from their initial engagement session through their wedding day, through capturing their growing families down through the years. To me the people I get to connect with year after year with Joy Shots are more than customers, they are a part of a family.

We were thrilled with Erika and Joy Shots Photography! Erika's communication was clear, vibrant, and quick - she always responded promptly to any questions we had leading up to the big day. On the wedding day itself, Erika was professional, fun, and respectful. She made sure to capture all the special moments while keeping things light and moving smoothly. Erika was often there when we couldn't find our planner, stepping in to keep things on track. She really went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect and we got amazing photos to remember it by. The quality of Erika's work shows through in the vibrant, joyful photos she captured. She helped me with my veil and bustling my dress multiple times. She had my change of shoes when my feet began to hurt! She even let me borrow sunglasses for some super fun pics. We'd HIGHLY recommend Joy Shots Photography for any couple looking for a talented, dedicated photographer to beautifully photograph their special memories. She was the best vendor we hired at our wedding, by far.

Erika is such a fantastic photographer. She is so nice and ensures you are comfortable taking pictures. From communicating before our engagement session to our wedding day, we never had an issue, and she was terrific! So many guests at my wedding told me how great and kind she was. Joy Shots Photography is a MUST if you are looking for a wedding photographer or photographer in general. You will be extremely satisfied. Whenever I need a photographer, there is no doubt that Erika would be my first choice, and I cannot wait for future pictures. I highly recommend her to everyone or anyone!

Erika was and is FANTASTIC! She’s very personable, very easy to talk to and work with, and very VERY talented! She answered all my questions so quickly and constantly went above and beyond for us. Erika gave us a preview of photos two days after our wedding and she had a few from each part of our day (We we’re expecting five preview photos and we received around thirty!) Her eye, attention to detail, and editing is truly breathtaking and we couldn’t be happier with her! She really is the BEST!
