Natural, documentary, photojournalistic. Real, raw, candid. We’re not going for any stiff prom poses here. I like to capture the day as it is and to document it as it unfolds. I never want to force anything, but I step in and direct where needed. Being in front of the camera isn’t my favorite thing either. I will be here to guide you and prompt you the whole way, I promise.

I think the wedding industry has really lost touch with what wedding days are actually about. I’m talking both vendors and couples. It kills me. I’ve worked for many money-hungry photographers lacking compassion and empathy. I’ve captured many days where my couple has been pulled in a million different directions- trying to please everyone and create the best event they can that they forget their day is actually supposed to be about them. I care about documenting your MEMORIES and capturing every raw emotion. Because that’s what it’s truly about.

Jenna Cavanaugh Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first phone call, Jenna's communication was open, clear, friendly, and we could tell she was genuinely excited to be a part of our special day. The quality of her work is priceless - her creative and beautiful shots captured the day in a stunning way, especially taking into account the colors and views of our mountaintop venue. Between Jenna and her assistant, there was always someone there to capture the special little moments as they were happening. Jenna was always smiling and having a good time, which made us all feel comfortable throughout the process. Every single person we have shared our photos with has been genuinely awestruck at Jenna's ability to portray the emotion of the day. Working with Jenna Cavanaugh was an absolute dream. From the moment we met, her calming and grounding presence instantly put us at ease. Choosing Jenna as our photographer was one of the best wedding planning decisions that we made. We did an engagement session with her in the fall and were blown away by how beautiful the pictures were. We felt so comfortable with her and were excited to work with her on our wedding day. Leading up to our wedding, she gave us helpful tips about our timeline and shot list. On the day of our wedding, she made sure that everyone looked comfortable and natural in our group shots. She captured some really beautiful candid moments and made our day feel even more special. Her turnaround time for sharing the retouched images was phenomenal and it was super easy to share the online album with our friends and family. We’re so grateful that she documented our day and that we have so many beautiful photos to look back on.

Jenna was a joy to work with. After booking, she sent us a book with all kinds of helpful wedding information. We based our schedule off of the sample timeline she provided and it worked out really well. On the day of, she traveled out to the farm we had our wedding at. She made us feel really comfortable, and just ourselves! Her documentary style captured some really sweet moments. We also took advantage of her printing and photobook services. We got some great high quality prints and a book we will cherish forever. It was also super easy to transfer all the digital files to my Google account (in addition to receiving the sleekest looking flashdrive I've ever seen). I felt like we got more than just a photographer because she thought of everything. I hope we are able to have Jenna capture some more big life moments for us in the future. I would highly recommend her!
