If you told me photography was going to be my career 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. But, looking back, all the signs were there and just had not been fully realized. I have always been attracted to imagery, and was obsessed with fashion magazines growing up… so naturally when trying to figure out what the heck to do with my life, I chose an education in fashion. I imagined I would love city life and working in the corporate world, never wanting to return to my Berkshire roots…. but boy was I wrong.

My career as a wedding photographer began somewhat on accident. I was working at, what I thought at the time, was a dream job for a cosmetics company, but I never felt truly fulfilled with my work. Photography was always a hobby of mine, so a friend asked me to photograph her wedding day. I tried to talk her out of the trust she had in my untested abilities, but I am so happy she didn’t listen and that I embraced that opportunity with an open heart and gratefulness. That was in 2012 when I jumped in head first and never looked back.
