Violet Hour Floral Design

Violet Hour is a recurring daydream brought to life for owner and founder Amy Gilday. After 16 years of practicing law, working with flowers on the side every chance she got, Amy left her job to become a florist. She completed FlowerSchool New York’s floral design program and freelanced with various New York floral designers before beginning to take on her own clients. With the love and support of her amazing wife, two spoiled cats, and dear friends and family, she launched Violet Hour Floral Design in her beloved home of Brooklyn, NY. She’s never been happier.

Amy’s design style is elegant but playful, with a bit of a vintage vibe. She focuses on texture in addition to color and shape to create lush and sensually engaging arrangements. That said, Violet Hour is agile and designs florals in a variety of styles to suit each client’s unique aesthetic.
