Forsythia is a full-service floral design company operated by Longhorn owner Amy Forsyth who has lived in Austin for 25 years and founded Forsythia in 2019. Amy strives to provide her couples with exceptional service as they prepare for their dream day. Her passion extends beyond her floral creations into her business practices as she works diligently to ensure that every detail is to her clients’ satisfaction. Amy is the type of person who has never met a stranger and immediately puts others at ease with her calm, sunny and fun disposition.

I have always had a love of people, helping others and creating beautiful things. Before I began Forsythia, I worked at NSPL for 4 years, which allowed me to refine my skill set for customer service, quick-thinking and dedication. For those 4 years, I guided people on the worst day of their lives. As a florist, I do not take the privilege of celebrating with clients on the best days of their lives lightly. It is an honor to be a part of such joy after figuratively holding the hands of so many who will never be able to experience such happiness. What an immense pleasure it has been to flower over 250 weddings! I can't wait to hear from you!

    Amy was an absolute delight to work with. She showed no hesitation with our limited budget (in fact, she proposed a much more affordable quote than the other florist we had considered) and created the most stunning flower arrangements that perfectly aligned with our inspiration photos. I couldn't get enough of my beautiful bouquet! Her attention to detail is also unmatched - I was shocked to find a few flowers sitting on top of the water fountain outside the bridal suite, which hardly anyone would see and was also not part of our quote. She is committed to excellent service, too; as we realized the logistical difficulties of transporting our homemade chuppah to and from the venue, she graciously agreed to store it at her house before and after the wedding for an extremely nominal fee. On top of all of that, she was so easy to communicate with, flexible, understanding, and unwaveringly positive - all traits that are so important, but sometimes missing, in a vendor! My only wish is that I had more time to take in all of the design details she and her team created - the chuppah flowers, the aisle markers repurposed as centerpieces, the bud vases on the cocktail tables. But, we have photos incoming to fill in the gaps! We love Amy and can't recommend her highly enough!

    Forsythia Florals was a dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first conversation, Amy and her team were quick, reliable, and great communicators - always available to answer our questions and provide updates. Their work was truly beautiful, perfectly capturing the vision we had in mind. Amy made me a stunning bridal bouquet exactly as I had described, and the greenery they provided for our staircase was spot on in both color and quantity. Forsythia Florals worked within our budget to create a floral design that was visionary and right on target. We couldn't have been happier with the final result and highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

    Forsythia Florals was an absolute dream to work with! The full service set up and tear down took SO much stress off of me and my family, allowing us to really relax and enjoy the day. Everything turned out even better than I had pictured too, and Amy was able to work in a family heirloom ring and handkerchief into my bridal bouquet last minute too. I love that they offer other decor too, such as candles for centerpieces and a flower girl basket. I can't say enough good things about Forsythia Florals!

    Finding a florist in Austin isn’t hard but finding one that is as kind, passionate, and cares as much as Amy is next to impossible which is why you should absolutely hire her!! My husband and I spent the bulk of wedding planning as full time students and working full time so most of my mental capacity went to school and sometimes I would forget to respond to emails or take weeks to respond. Every time I would email Amy and apologize she was so quick to reassure me that wasn’t necessary and that she understood. The level of patience she had with us (especially being so indecisive about our ceremony flowers) meant so much and calmed my anxiety because I felt so bad about how long things were taking on my end. My bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were so beautiful and I didn’t get to see the ceremony florals until I walked down the aisle but they were just as stunning! She was so patient with us and juggled emails from both my mom and I and perfectly executed my vision. I was running all over the place on the wedding day so I didn’t get a chance to meet Amy but my mom talked with her for a little while and Amy told her that she prayed over our day and that just meant so much to me and my family. Amy is exactly the kind of vendor every couple should have in their corner on their wedding day. You can tell she loves what she does and genuinely cares for every person and couple that comes her way. Hire her immediately, you won’t regret it!!
