Philip Carter

Chef

Dad’s Catering OC is a catering business specializing in multiple different types of cuisines. Chef Philip Carter has been in the catering and restaurant industry for 25+ years, working in many different areas. His work includes owning his own restaurant in Fountain Valley, CA, running a catering business, working as the head chef in restaurant kitchens, as well as working as the executive chef at the Aliso Viejo Country Club. His restaurants were Café Plaka Greek Cuisine, Tortellini’s Italian Grill, and Phil’s California Bar and Grill.

Chef Philip is a trained chef who has worked in the industry for the majority of his life. After training at Orange Coast College and the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont, he moved to the South of France and worked at the Le Prejoly Restaurant in Saint Vallier d' Thiey. He moved back to the States and worked at The Wild Boar as Sous Chef, a Four Star, Five Diamond Restaurant in Nashville, TN. Philip then returned to work in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa before opening his own restaurants in 2001. In 2008, Philip moved on to work at McCormick & Schmick’s, and in 2013 was offered the Executive Chef position at Aliso Viejo Country Club.
