Designing a wedding cake is an important part of a your wedding. We work intimately with each couple to create a custom designed cake using the highest quality seasonal ingredients. We specialize in gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options.

Prices depend on the type of ingredients and complication of design. There is an additional charge for delivery. Other types of of special occasion cakes and desserts, birthday cakes or a cookie platter, are individually priced based on ingredients, design and size.
It's never too early to plan your wedding cake. The earlier you plan the more likely your date will be available. Cakes can be booked 1 year in advance or as close as 3 - 6 months. A last minute booking is always a possibility.
The Cake Design Team will make you a 6" tasting cake with a choice of 2 cakes, 2 fillings and 2 icings that you have chosen. You will have a chance to discuss your ideas for flavors and design. A portfolio of Maxine's Catering/Bittersweet Bakers' wedding cakes will be available for additional inspiration. The charge for the tasting is $30.00 for each 6″ cake ordered.
Yes, of course. Bring pictures of cakes you found or of anything else you might want to incorporate into the design of your cake: color swatches, flowers, ribbons or your personal cake topper.
If you would like to decorate your cake with fresh flowers, ask your florist to provide some for the cake. The flowers can be picked up if the florist is nearby, or the team can purchase them from a local florist. If they are purchased from a local florist there will be an additional charge.
