Opening Brooklyn Girl Bakery was the culmination of years working as a pastry chef and cake decorator in the Philly suburbs. As someone who loved all things wedding related, I decided to venture out on my own so I could focus all my energy making beautiful and delcious cakes.

As a one-woman operation, I will be the only person to take you through every step of the wedding cake process- from the intitial tasting and consultation through to the baking and decoration of your cake. I also limit the number of cakes I take per weekend to insure that I can devote the attention needed to every detail. While I do have an extra delivery person available for busy weekends, I am likely to be the person delivering your cake, as well. This model allows me to develop a much more personal relationship with my clients than you may find at larger-scale bakeries.

    We had a woodsy/botanical theme and wanted a birch tree look, but neither of us like fondant. Peri achieved the birch tree look perfectly with buttercream. The top tier was lemon (a nod to our original wedding cake) and the other two were marble and chocolate chip with espresso ganache. Each tier was delicious! Peri was great to work with and captured our vision beautifully. We couldn’t have been happier!

    Brooklyn Girl Bakery was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Peri, the owner, has an easygoing and clear communication style, making her incredibly easy to work with and very understanding of our needs. The quality of their work is simply immaculate - the wedding cake they created for us was absolutely perfect. Peri has many different flavor combinations to choose from and can make just about any design you can think of, and if not she comes up with great alternatives to bring your idea to life. She was on time and made sure we understood how to handle the cake so it is just right for when we cut and serve it.     Brooklyn Girl Bakery was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. They were very easy to reach throughout the planning process and were quick to respond to any questions we had. The cake they created for us was not only delicious, but also absolutely beautiful. In fact, our guests were literally harassing the venue staff to get more slices - it was that good! The only downside is that we didn't order a larger cake, as it disappeared in no time. Overall, Brooklyn Girl Bakery exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them to any couple looking for an amazing wedding cake.
