I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.

All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

This is my most common package. Most weddings have a cocktail hour that is not within the reception space. I will bring a PA for the cocktail hour as well as my usual Reception setup.

    We absolutely loved working with Chris!!! We're not the most knowledgable about music or what music is good for specific parts of the reception, but Chris was a game changer. He was so easy to communicate with and had a super strong attention to detail. He is also extremely knowledgeable and his vast experience shows. For example, he made a point to learn how to pronounce everyone's names correctly for when he was intro'ing speeches. He also helped us pick a horah song that was perfect for our energy and the space we were using. Lastly, our friends and family were dancing the entire night and there was never an awkward lull. He is an absolute gem of a person and an insanely talented DJ.

    Hiring The Other Wedding DJ is easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Throughout the planning process Chris was incredibly professional, responsive, helpful, and reassuring. Working with him to craft the musical vibe for our wedding and hearing just how much of his expertise and creativity he puts into the experience was a lot of fun, and it made all the difference on our big day.     I can't imagine how our wedding would have gone without The Other Wedding DJ. Chris was able to take our list of music and plug in his knowledge to complete the perfect playlist. His blending of genres was perfect and the talk of our wedding. Chris combined all of our interests and favorite music into a great set list and mixed them with other hits that get people on the dance floor. Chris made the planning process with him so easy, he was always quick to answer any question we had, and worked directly with our venue to handle set-up logistics. Hands down one of the best choices we made for our wedding.

    Chris took our rather opposing tastes in music and created a symphony of sound that resulted in an incredible multi generational dance party. A week after the wedding and we're still getting notes from guests about how incredible our DJ was. Chris is super intentional about creating a space for all and being strategic about how the dance floor evolves throughout the night. We appreciated his thought and expertise and general kindness and can't wait to have a reason to work with him again.
