“Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had. My style of photography is a mix of journalistic for most of the day and classic/fashion for the portrait session. “I don't even know where to start--TL/DR: Hire Jeff and his crew immediately, this is an easy decision amidst many difficult ones! Jeff was simply wonderful to work with; his easygoing and kind presence were evident from our very first video call. His assistants day-of were likewise incredibly upbeat and professional. Their coverage was comprehensive but somehow completely unobtrusive; my husband and I didn't notice them at all during the day save for some personalized instruction from Jeff (which he was amenable to doing more or less of per our preference, as we wanted things to feel as natural as possible). His presence was just what you would want, like a bright ray of sunlight cutting through the stress of the day. I felt like we were in good hands, and that he and his crew were doing their absolute best. We were excited for the video(s) but unprepared for the quality. You see, Jeff's prices are far more reasonable than many others we looked at, and his services more comprehensive, and a part of us wondered if it was too good to be true. It wasn't. We were blown away. The short video (set to a song of our choice and edited perfectly to fit the song) was a work of art; he perfectly captured the feeling of the day and picked the best footage. The longer video was so well edited too--we were expecting something much more raw but there was so much attention to detail. Above and beyond, and incredibly thorough, is how I would characterize Jeff for the entirety of the process. We couldn't be more pleased. My husband and I wanted to hire vendors who we would be happy spending the day with--Jeff fits that bill, and we were thrilled to find that he is as talented as he is nice. I vouch for him 100%.”

While in the process of picking a photographer, Laura and I chatted over Zoom and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy Laura was to talk to, as well as how organized she seemed with her planning. “I truly cannot put into words how amazing our entire experience was from start to finish. We found John and Avec L'Amour through our photographer, Heather Soucy. She told me that her family even used John for her brother's wedding because of everyone she has worked with, she trusted him to document their special day in the best way. That spoke volumes to me. When I say these two are a 'dream team' I am not kidding. As someone who had never been professionally photographed or video'd before, I was really nervous about looking and feeling awkward. John made my husband, Mike, and me feel SO comfortable throughout the whole day. It was so cool seeing these two incredibly creative minds feeding off each other to get the best possible shot. It was a little rainy on our day and they actually took video/photos of us inside a puddle reflection--I mean who thinks of that?! We were running a little late to the reception when our portraits were supposed to be taken and John knew we didn't want to miss too much of cocktail hour. We were able to get the most beautiful shots in just 30 minutes, including drone, which was super important to us. The Avec L'Amour team got absolutely stunning video without us feeling like we had cameras in our faces all night. We booked John for the 8-hour package, but realized we were not going to be able to get the bouquet toss or cake cutting in that time frame. NO worries!! John offered to stay an extra hour to capture the remainder of the evening. Now for the deliverables: we got our first teaser video back within 3 weeks of our day and I was absolutely blown away. We received the full gallery which included a 1 minute teaser, 3 minute trailer, and the full 1.5 hour long event not even a MONTH after our wedding day. It was just like watching a move of all our favorite people and he captured the day so perfectly. I cannot say enough: RUN, don't walk to book John and Avec L'Amour for your special day!! Worth every penny. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
